Okay.. very quick guide to Paladin tanking!
- Keep Righteous Fury up at all times, the extra threat is certainly worth it.
- The main tanking Aura is the Retribution Aura. It's not a massive amount of damage but does help to ensure that once a mob hits you it'll stick.
- Keep Holy Shield up as much as possible. If you're running low on mana switch to level one as it at least keeps the damage mitigation there.
- Your nicest threat-generator is Consecration, nice AoE spell. Unless there's a reason to save the cooldown (Such as expecting extra mobs soon) pop this as soon as it's ready.
- Use Blessings judiciously, I personally use Judgment the most but do have a good range ready.
- Get hit, take some damage, get healed by another member of the parth. I know this sounds odd but with Retribution and Holy Shield you actually get more threat on you for being hit, and since you regain part of healing done by others as mana you shouldn't be afraid of taking a fair few knocks. I've actually heard of Paladins sitting down mid-combat in order to get crit'ted.. just means they need healing and so get some mana.
