Default PC problems, would be glad for any suggestions.

Ok. so i did it. baught a new rigg.

    Spec.
    MOBO - ASUS M3A32-MVP
    AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core 2,21Ghz
    700W PSU
    3gig Ram Kingston.
    GForce 8800GT.
    Samsung 24" LCD.
    Vista 32bit SP1.

I dont know what ells is important info.
    Anyway here is my problem.

When starting WOW it runs for 3 sec - 20 min. then BLAM! like pulling out the power plug. no difference if i run 1 or 4 instances. No blue screen, i even checkt the box in windows to provide a blue screen. did not work. temp on CPU is 42C constantly. i even tried a 1000W PSU. same thing happens. I have run memory tests, telling me nothing is wrong with the ram memory. I have tried taking out 1 memory stick and switching. same thing over and over again. tried updating all the drivers including bios. no change at all.
Last night i tried Assassins Creed, got about 1h of game play. then BLAM! same thing again.

Anyone have any idee what is going on?? GFX Card that is causing this?
I am running out of idees right now. suggestions are very wellcome.

I would open up the side of your box and make sure all fans are working. Make sure all fans are spinning. Check the fan on your GPU make sure its running, and that the power cable is plugged into it. Looks like you are having a heat problem and your computer is shutting off. Check and make sure the switch on the back of the Power Supply is set to the correct Voltage for your area.

Yes everything is spinning.. one funny thing though. as i remember on my old system. should i not have some sort of fan control in the NVIDIA System Tools? maybe i need to install the driver in safe mode. been reading about other people having trubble getting averything to work under vista. I dont know. :S

hmm.. just noticed something.... i cant find GPU temp anywere or any fan control for that matter... starting to think that the guy at the computer dealer did a really bad job putting this together. should there be any other cables then the extra power cable connected to the card??

Yeah just 1 cable to the card.

I would go to nvida's site and download the driver package(vista32 bit) from them dont let windows update install the driver.

Unistall your graphic driver from control panel, resart, install new driver from Nvidia.

You should now have the Nvidia control Panel.

hmm Riva Tuner indicates my GPU has 0 in temp.. could it be so simple that my GFX card is faulty? is there any test programs to use for this?

I think the program from Nvida is called Nview cant tell u for sure being im at work.

    Ok scratch that. lol

In the Nvida control panel choose advanced view now you should see the options for fan and temp
