PVP just means ganking.
If you don't mind getting ganked, then roll PVP.
People will gank you just to see how well they do (or how fast they die) against a multiboxer.
My KOS is so damn long now... payback is fun.

Well, I didn't mean everyone who plays on a PvP servers fits those categories. It was just having to constantly kill those people when, quite honestly, I don't LIKE kicking people's teeth in because they apparently don't know any better. I got to level 53 on a PvP server before AV was introduced, and it just got so bad I actually quit the game because it was the same old crap every time I logged in. I prefer epic battles to steam rolling some poor sucker, and honestly, I see more quality PvP on my RP server by people who flag up intentionally or go to the BGs.Originally Posted by 'Quix',index.php?page=Thread&postID=63316#post6331 6
I'm sure everyone who has boxed knows what I'm talking about, when the lone enemy waltzes up thinking he just got 5 easy kills and gets one shotted by your group. Some people like that, which is fine. I don't, which is why I hopped the fence in to Carebear land where I can bring color to the world with Rainbow Brite while riding My Little Pony.
PVE for me all the way. I don't like pvp too much because you don't know what is going to happen. I like knowing that i can see the guy and prepare to fight before i move in. Once the guy is attacking me he is not circling around me to try to get out of line of sight. I am also a clicker (be i started multi boxing) and it ticked me off that i had to click different spells fast to counter there stuff (trying to watch the screen and watch where i clicked, half the time i clicked the wrong thing).
Well maybe now that i have to press keys to attack i might like pvp a little more cause i will be able to press faster then click.

Not only PVE....but...RP!
I enjoy RP realms...my girls speak with an accent...I like running across dwarves. I enjoy people that put a little effort into the way they present themselves. Plus...I don't have to deal with names like...Omgpwnurmom.

TL;DR at bottom
Prior to WoW, I was a carebear; I didn't like pvp, I wasn't good at pvp, and most pvpers were griefing dicks(particularly in D2 camping waypoints)
Post-wow, my first char was an Alliance Warr on Mal'Ganis(PVP)(at the time a VERY horde heavy server, because THE HORDE WERE SA GOONS, which pretty much was a very bad thing. If you know who Goons are I needn't further clarify why it was badI rolled there cuz the only friend I knew played WoW at the time was there, a raiding gnome warlock. I got to 41ish before I simply got sick of the constant ganking griefing and camping, I couldn't get anything done.
I re-rolled on Shadowsong(PVE). Another Human Warr, sick of being ganked constantly, got this one to 60, tanked, enjoyed it, got a few compliments. However since I didn't raid I just got kinda bored.
So I get Eteocles going on Magtheridon; join DA via referral from another Druid after a very successful 4 druid 1 rogue LBRS stealth run(and this was back in 05 when druids were healbots); raided with them for awhile, enjoyed a little of the GOOD, CLASSIC AV, with Korrak molesting Snowfall's flag and his Winterfall Troll buddies.
When Penny-Arcade & PVPOnline started their little war when the Dark Iron(PVP) server opened, I rolled my Hunter on it, thus starting my first TRUE wow pvp experience...so much mass fighting all the time...it was great. Joined up with the Penny Arcade guilds, even saw Gabe ingame a few times at Redridge & IF at lv18ish and 30ish respectively (just /saluted him rather than play rabid fanboy though ;p); lvl'd it between raids on my druid since Druids were fucking boring back then and the stupid loot rules prevented me from EVER so much as -touching- spelldmg gear(Should've seen the arguments about that on our forums...christ lol); eventually hit 60 with it and pvp'd a fair bit, liked how often I took people out with my trusty boar(BEFORE they were cool! :P), raided a bit too(even had my boar offtank shit in AQ20 before Beast tree was worth shit and I was still heavy Marks lol)
Then, my Ex starts to play...we roll on a new server, Gul'dan(PVP), I figure it's time I made a rogue that gets to a decent level. Dragging her lazy-ass to 60 and farming her epic mount for her(Only the tip of the iceberg; see why she's an ex now? lol) we joined a good active but small guild of rl friends and we(read: I) pvp'd alot, finding stealth to be the best fucking thing ever invented, moreso combined with my Subtlety spec being able to vanish/blind twice. I absolutely destroyed in BGs and I NEVER ever lost to a paladin or another rogue and was quite happy with it; someone ganked us in the world even with her standing around panicking I take out unfair odds and survive even when they don't lol hell of a rush.
In fact, while I was lvl'ing in Desolace around lv34 at the Satyrs near town on my OTHER rogue(Blackwing Lair pvp), there's a lv40 or 41 human pala killing Satyr around my quest area...we fought for about half an hour with neither of us dying and burning our cooldowns + pots repeatedly, he had too much armor and mana regen and I was too damn sneaky/evasive for him to kill, till he eventually fucked up and I finished him off...quite frankly my most proud pvp moment, beating a +6 pala in plate, proving skill can outdo gear. And that, is why PVP = win.
TL;DR: Pretty much between being so freaking bored on my pve 60, and the fun I had in pvp on my hunter and later Rogues, PVP servers are simply less boring. Yes, they're frustrating as fuck sometimes, ESPECIALLY while lvling, but if you want trouble you can go out and find or MAKE it anytime.

Sometimes I think of myself as a PvE type, until I see alliance in my home turf, only one thing comes to mind: Kill 'em ALL!
I recall back in the day when I was playing my first char in WoW, an UD rogue... with 4 other rogues (all of us lvl 15-20) we hopped the boat to BootyBay, jumped off and swam north to Westfall to farm Defias for the red face scarf they wear. Of course, some fools attacked only to flagged and rapped by the rest of us. Being in enemy territory can be fun.

At release I loved my pvp server. I originally rolled on Stormreaver (If I had stayed, I'd probably be on there bugging Boyl all the time). I really enjoyed pvp up until people hit the cap and started raiding all the time. I had neither the want, nor the time to raid that extent to get that kind of gear. This of course left me in the dust and getting 1-2 shot any time I went out into the world. No thanks.
After taking a break and coming back deciding I really wanted to play the game, but didn't want to deal with getting ganked mercilessly while not standing the least bit of a chance, I transferred over to a PVE server. I enjoy a PVE server much better now, because I can still PVP when I want, I just have to initiate it by joining a BG or an arena, rather then having it forced on me while out trying to finish up other tasks.

PvP, so I can mercilessly slaughter lowbies and anyone questing. Nothing like ruining someone's peaceful questing grind. It's great to run through STV, Darkshire, and then to Lakeshire killing every lowbie in your path. Pre BC I did a daily gank of wrath through those areas which would lead me to UBRS/BWL/MC area, so you would get a mix of BWL/MC geared people, and blues/greens people. Sometimes people in blues/greens with skill would surprise you, and sometimes people in BWL gear just sucked the big one.
There were some huge ass brawls in the area too, especially when Alli and Horde guilds were both about to run MC/BWL.

On the other hand, I have done my share of ganking lowbies but it was typically situational (aiding fellow Horde) and many times I ride right past lowbie Alliance in contested areas. With as much attention as I will be getting as a 5 boxer I don't want a rep of being merciless.
