Lemme butt in here for a sec. I have a suggestion for you guys that are having problems. Do the following steps and report the results back to Rob:
This may give him some more data to work with and identify a problem area or, conversely, eliminate some possible culprits.
- Run keyclone and WoW and get it all going and working normally
- Right-click your taskbar and select Task Manager
- In Task Manager, open the View menu and click "Select Columns"
- In the "Select Columns" dialog that appears, check the boxes for Virtual Memory Size, Handle Count, Thread Count and GDI Objects
- Click OK.
- Expand the Task Manager window so you can see those extra columns.
- Write down the values (or take a screenshot) for the keyclone process.
- Play normally until it locks up on you.
- Go back to Task Manager and record the info for the keyclone process.
- Send the before and after data to Rob so he can tell what the process is doing to resources.
Hope this helps.Intermittent problems that aren't reproduceable on the dev machines are a bitch.
