it's not really a bug... but a function of how the DNP works. the solution would be to UNCHECK strict. this does limit the number of keys you have, by stopping all modified keys specified in the DNP... but you won't get run-aways
Then the bug is in how DNP works.

Besides, I was getting run aways well before the strict option even existed so I've been running with it "unchecked" or disabled for months and I still get run aways.

I don't really see how losing core functionality like being able to pass SHIFT+<key> (which has worked fine up until this release) is a valid trade off to not getting run aways.

I test software for a living ... and the run-aways issue is a bug, whether it's a defect in the code or a defect in the design, it's still a bug.
