Which Faction: Scyers or Aldor?

Which faction works best for Tailoring and Elemental Shamen? Should I split the group to go to 2 different factions? Then I can get it all right?

On a side note, grinding both factions would be tough as far as quests go since each faction leads to a separate set.

When WotLK hits - They will both be semi-worthless. I wouldn't spend much gold - if any - grinding rep on either at this point.

Agreed... pick Scryers just because you can fall off the elevator and still survive and it's closer to the Flight Master. :thumbsup:

Aldor Tailor Leg Enchant = +Healing
Scryper Tailor Leg Enchant = +Spell Dmg & Healing.

As for levelling Scryer and Aldor, you can do the quest chains in Netherstorm and SMV at the same time.

I think at some point when you're levelling and gearing up, you might just end up on gearing one character at the time.
I did this by getting Scryer rep rewards while doing the Shattered Sun Offensive daily quest.

I think Aldor neck from SSO procs better damage than Scryer though.

As far as BOP reasons go, Aldor. Their Shoulders Enchants are better. Everything else you'll ever need or want from either is BoE, including the pants enchants.

No, for an Elemental Shaman the Scryers have better shoulder enchants. Also the ring is great, and you get an OK trinket too.

Also, you can jump off the Scryer elevator without dying, which saves you a ton of time. (seriously)

If you want the best rewards:

go ALDOR. The new SSO necks are FAR superior, and Aldor shoulder enchants prioritize spell dmg / healing over crit/mp5.


if you want the chepaest path:

GO SCRYER, price of scryer marks is less then HALF of aldor, because of a) everyone is grinding on bloodelves for SSO, and b) rewards for aldor are better.
