Default Shift and Ctrl options dissapeared in 1,8h?

Hi keyclone, well when i installed the new update i didnt notice any difference @ start. But when i noticed that all my keybinds on my do-not-pass list, was reseted, i decided to just remake the list.
Now here is the problem, before the 1.8h, i could make example Shift-6, be on the do-not-pass, but leave 6 to be passed. Now if i choose Shift-6 on the do-not-pass, automaticly "6" get on that list to (not shown, but it just dont get passed just because shift-6 is there).

I dont whant it that way sins i got different spells on shift-6 than on 6. Please help =)

Saw this btw " add: added 'strict' to do-not-pass (checked == only exact keys will not be passed) - leave UNCHECKED to remove runaways" maby thats my problem? :P

    G'morning Emo,

yes... STRICT is the option that is probably causing the difference. prior to v1.8h, if you put W on the list, shift+W would pass through. this lead to the run-aways as people would hold down shift, then W... making all clones walk forward. but they would let up the shift ... THEN let up W.. which only the shift would be sent to the clones, not the shift+W up... and due to how Bliz does its movement algorithms... produced the 'run-away'

strictly speaking, the DNP worked as specified... STRICTly speaking. but most people don't get that or would forget in the heat of battle, and would fat finger a combo at some point and get wiped due to a run-away.

now, if you leave STRICT unchecked, you get the 'new' functionality.... which is... if W is on the list, then ANY form of W will be blocked. therefore, no runaways.

i have considered a sub DNP list... one strict and one general... but that would add another list to a confusing mix, so we'll see how it goes for now. the new functionality is currently the default... insuring no run-aways. more advanced users that understand the issue can just CHECK the strict option and they will go back to the way it was before.

i hope that makes sense. i'd love to hear thoughts on the issue, as many people hated the run-aways...

oh, and i will be putting out an official v1.8i today... watch for it and please update when you get a chance

Well it sounds like you may have found the cause of the runaways but the solution does not actually fix the problem for me because I have so many shift-key, shift-control-key, control-key, alt-key, etc., etc., etc. combos, LOL. *However*...thinking about it, do you think if I added every modifier combo of the WASD keys to the DNP list if that would eliminate every possibility of movement related runaways? If so I don't mind putting them all into the DNP list, in fact I might try it and see.

I have noticed since binding my shammy shields (ALT-S) to a n52te key I never get runaways when using it and I always get the spell to fire. Sometimes when using just my G15 keyboard it sometimes fails to fire so I'm wondering if my G15 is just "slow" sometimes because I swear the ALT IS down lol.

I ran into this problem last night too :( I have ctrl-l bound to one of my x-keys (set to drain life on my warlocks) and it took me ages to remember about strict in keyclone (I re-wrote the macros several times)

ah well... the rest is all good and having it as the default option is certain the right choice for all the new adopters :)

    Keyclone --

An advanced option for two "Do Not Pass" lists, one of the default variety, and the other of the strict variety would be awesome. If I need to explain more, I will, but since you mentioned it already I think you already know that it would be appealing.
