I am so glad I read this thread. I created 2 new trial accounts to replace the 2 accounts that are not in my name. I do not want to tarnish the multi-boxing community in any way .

I only have to catch up 3 levels so no big deal here. I'll continue to do my dailies on the other accounts but I will delete the shaman I made.

Yeah, what's done is done Trikk and I'm glad you're honest about it. It really helps to show the level of severity that comes about... Most people who just start the hobby don't realize how devastating it can be to lose accounts due to something completely preventable like this, and I hate hearing stories of the time and effort invested into these accts when they go down.

I just laid out my friendly reminder since these tend to get out of hand once they start rolling. As long as people aren't giving you advice on how to break the rules again I'm happy.

I made 5 more shaman...I do want the 5 shammy team at 70. It sounds like so much fun.

But now...that I have time to think about it. I love raiding. I loved my priest..mage..warrior..and my warlock.

I've been throwing it about in my head to get a multi-class team to 70 before WotLK comes out. Then I can hop back into the raiding scene.

i am sorry to hear of this, i also hate this policy (though understand all the headaches it saves their company and why it's necessary), my first account was a git in my bosses name but log-in name is a website i own, he thought he'd have to put it in his name for billing and then could switch it - WRONG! :{

then i was SO SMART to drunkenly register an account in a pen name i use....it's so weird how things seem funny late at night and then a week later you realize you're an idiot haha ugh

soooo i wound up starting up 2 new accounts - my friends thought i was nuts to start over but most people don't realize just how many times you can get reported

so it does suck to start a multi-box team over from the ground up but i'm sure you feel great knowing that this time it's truly 100% legit. good luck with the new accounts and just try to enjoy leveling again.... i actually had a ton of fun re-leveling 2 of my warlocks to catch up with the one that was "legit" ....if anything.... TIME TRAVEL RP!

I firmly believe that this issue ( Account sharing and multiboxing -- what you gotta know) should be stickied for future members to see and educate themself on how blizzard deals with this issue.

it's not the first time I see posts about this problem and I think a nice sticky would probably help solve future trouble for future multiboxer.

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation...it sucks when "normal" people get scooped up in the dragnet when the game is full of people exploiting their way along with no repercussions. The unfortunate reality is that when you are multi-boxing, you are going to get reported, and the GMs are going to look at you closely.

Seeing this made me glad I decided to bite the bullet and get my ducks in line before I ended up as a target. Posted Account Shenanigans asking for information, got some really good answers from the community, and got all my accounts legit. It wasn't cheap, but nothing about this hobby is. I am glad I did it though, I'd hate to lose an account for such a trivial matter now. Honestly, it'd be great if everyone spoke up like you do when something like this happens to increase exposure, and I think it should get a sticky/bang on the front page, and definitely a wiki article. I think everyone who even thinks about multiboxing should see within seconds of visiting this site that they need to make damn sure they have 100% legit accounts, no ifs ands or buts.
