There is not gonna be a quest to unlock them, you just need a level 55+ char on the realm.. So as I said, might as well :P
Unless they changed it...There won't be a quest to unlock the class to play it, however you will be starting out in stratholme and have to break free in order play in the regular world.
Sounds like you could just invite a friend or two, and once you start invite them to your party and have them clear the instance.
