Default Race choices and starting areas

So how much weight do you guys put into the ease of starting off when you choose race/class combos for new groups? I'd like to try a pally/3xsham/1mage horde-side but if you move your orcs to the belf area then they can't go back and train easily. How do you guys usually think this stuff through?

You do have to keep in mind, that if you make different classes you may want to level them in their respective zones for a bit...at least until you get the first couple class quests out of the way.

My fiance made that mistake when he made 3 locks...one B'elf and two undead. He went through the trouble of bringing the undead up to Silvermoon only to find they couldn't get their imps. Lots of cursing that night.

Just something to keep in mind.

I am a bit OCD and when it comes to my toons, I refuse to ride anything other than a tiger mount. That being said, I always move my characters over to Teldrasil so that I can get those easy quests done while getting the rep so that I can get exalted by 40.

This does bring up the problem with not being able to train or do class quests but I usually just have a mage friend port me back and forth if I need the training, which usually isn't the case. I did 1-10 in Teldrasil on my 5 shamans without training. Rank 1 Lightning bolt spam >_>
