Large Formatt LCD???

Has anyone tried running or heard of any one running something like a 32" widescreen or greater LCD monitor?

I like the idea instead of the cool 6 monitor set up because if WoW finally dies I can just use it as a TV

Size does not equal resolution. The resolution of that LCD is only 1366 x 768 and thats about enough space for one or two clients.

That's a standard 30" monitor. Good high resolution, but keep in mind that you can't use it as a TV, since nearly all 30" monitors don't have a scalar chip. (Dell's new $2000 model being the sole exception I know of)

But if you're just going to use it on a PC, it is a good choice. Just make sure you have a kick ass graphics card (and CPU) to power it. (a pair of 7300GT cards in SLI is not going to cut it)

I tried gaming on my bigscreen, it was TehSuck.

If you're in the market for a 30" monitor for gaming, chances are you will use it for gaming, even after WoW. If you are really concerned about getting your moneys worth out of it, get a TV tuner or just watch DvDs on your pc.

Gaming on TVs, IMO, sucks.

It sounds good because bigger is better, right? Well, in this case, less(screen size) really is more.

I bought a dell 30" monitor at the same time that my friend bought a 42" LCD TV to game on, and I can tell you that I've never regretted that decision. They were about the same price, but just try to compare the awesomeness which is 2560x1600 resolution to 1920x1080 and you'll see what I mean.

I'm running a 37" 1080P "tv" (it doesn't have a tuner, so technically its just a monitor) It is great. I basically got the smallest 1080P TV I could find for a decent price (i got it for $650) There was a 32" 1080P available, but it was $800. It makes a great computer monitor, and a great WOW monitor. It's a Westinghouse 37W3R (refurbished)

I am being kinda selfish, using it for my main, and cramming 4 alts onto my old 17" screen. I probably should flip it, but I love playing solo on the 37, and I just got used to it. Most likely, I will add another video card, and run 2 more monitors, and only have to double up on one monitor.

I also use the Westinghouse 37" monitor. It is the right size for a pc monitor. I bought it as a TV but it now serves double duty. I split the other 4 accounts on 2 other 4/3 monitors. Frankly I would like simplifly the setup and use 5 standard monitors for boxing and use the TV when soloing/raiding. Too much real estate to have to scan in order see the other screens and you can't use peripheral vision as it is too wide.
