Also on that note my main problem is that I'm running out of modifier keys, and I actually want a fourth mod button. Anyone else got this same predicament or have any solutions?

HotkeyNet lets you use any key as a modifier. It also lets you use the three keyboard toggles (capslock, numlock, and scroll lock) as part of the trigger combination. And it lets you use up to nine keys in the trigger combination.
