Default I'm new and need help please!

okay, i have been dual boxing WoW with 2 accounts on the same computer for a while now. my computer can easily handle it. (quad core 2.40 ghz, 3 GB ram, 512MB geforce 8800)

all of the sudden (within the past week of so) my computer starts to freeze when i dual box. but it is fine when i only have 1 WoW open
when i open up my second WoW, it gets all laggy and eventually freezes my computer..
after about the 5th time freezing i restarted my computer and i got a "critical error" something about not having enough storage space

i was wondering if it was something with the cache or the WTF folder?

any help would be appreciated, thanks =D

How much physical ram do you have?

Maybe the second WoW you open can't be handled in your physical ram and creates a disk swap drive. (ie. uses your harddrive for memory.) Which leads to a numerous amount of things. It's slower, so you get lower FPS, and if your drive is pretty full, it would lead to errors and freezing.

If your pc handles two WoW's with a swap drive, clean up your diskdrive. Exit any program you don't use during playing, empty your icontray and close all unnecesary programs. And try again.

Alternatively, perhaps adding a bit of ram can't hurt either for optimal performance. (If this is the problem, which, it seems it is.)

Since one WoW alone works proper, but two do not, it is probably -not- a software problem, but a hardware problem. (ie. not the WoW dir or drivers, etc.).

3Gb should be plentiful. Doesn't seem to be a ram problem then.

Worst case scenario. You fried your gfx card and it has been unable to utilize it's maximum capabilities since. :P (I had it happen once. :< But this usually comes with excessive screen tearing and such.)

You should be able to test that though with 3d testing programs. There's also a possibility your ram is just buggered. Try 'resetting' your PC to force your ram to reset. *shrug*

Well, if you google for it there will be an array of programs to choose from to test GFX GPU's and such, but I haven't got personal experience with any of them myself. So it might be best to wait for someone that has dealt with that before first.

Although my google search came up with this one.

Which seems decent enough and is apparantly free.

No problem, though your problem seems to be a bit out of my league though, maybe there's someone else that can suggest something that might work. ^_^

In the ol' dos days, swapping around edo ram dimms in the sockets solved TONS of problems, but I dunno if that trick still works. xD xD xD! Seriously. I couldn't run vga mode anymore. I swapped dimms, it worked again. I kept crashing on systemstart, I swapped dimms, it worked again. That was so -the- ultimate trick to solve every computers problems. (It might have just been me having really crappy dimms. :P )
