    Default keyclone n00b here

Hi all. I've been manually two boxing with 2 machines to level my mage alt with my priest healing him while out of party. Now that the mage is 70, I'd like to take it a step up, so I started playing with Keyclone over the weekend.

Excellent program. Very intuitive and easy to setup. I've read through the wiki and stickies, but I still have some issues.

Keep in mind that I do not broadcast my movement keys from my main to my sub. I don't like having to toggle between broadcasting and not broadcasting, so I make the use of follow macros as much as possible.

    Main/sub:
Most of the stickies suggested putting healers as a sub. This is great for pvp if I want to be selfish with my heals and only heal my main. But in PvE where I'm 2 out of 10 people in a raid, priority #1 is to keep people alive with my healer, so ideally, the healer should be the main in PvE for easy targetting and quick reaction time. I'm thinking I'll just have to trade up their roles depending on what i'm doing at the time.

    Movement and direction facing:
When the priest is the main and the mage is on follow, I run into all sorts of issues. For one, heals have a 40yd range and my mage can only nuke from 30 yards away. This isn't a terrible problem unless everyone needs to be at max range for a fight (Prince, for example).

Additionally, with the mage on follow, any time I have to back up the mage will end up facing the opposite direction the priest is facing. Then I have to take the priest and sorta do a U-turn to get the mage back into position and facing the enemy. Or I have to reach over to the other keyboard and do it manually.

Are there easier ways to manage this? Should I be broadcasting my movement keys and only using follow macros to get my toons in line? Using broadcasting movement generates more issues for me. For one, when the characters get displaced (due to knockback, fear, etc.) I would have to stop broadcasting and everything else I'm doing just to round up the mage with a follow macro again. With a healer main, it's not always feasible to just stop what I'm doing. Additionally, if broadcasting movement after lining up the toons with follow macros, the gap between the main and the follower can cause problems when the terrain and objects get in the way of the followers but not the main.

    Broadcasting mouse:
I've yet to get this part of keyclone to work. How exactly does the mouse broadcasting work? Does it broadcast click positions on the screen? Does it broadcast dragging? If dragging is not broadcast and if the intention is to broadcast movement, then does that mean all movement must be done with the keyboard (i.e. no mouse turning)?

I know I didn't put many clear, concise questions in here, but I think I was detailed enough to show you where I stand. If you have any pointers or advice for me, that would be greatly appreciated.

howdy rawk and welcome to the forums!

i'll let others answer your facing questions (the short answer is.. yes, it's a pain in the butt.. and will continue to be until blizzard puts in a /face command)

as for mouse broadcasting in keyclone, on a single machine, i believe i turned the broadcasting off due to the flashing of the wow screens (requires focus in order to process mouse input). even if it was working, it would not be what you think. you couldn't really use it for movement any more then you can use movement keys. this is due to the heading and position of each character not being exactly the same.

if you need more info on this, please feel free to drop me a note.
