So I got talked into tanking a heroic for a guild group yesturday, my 1st human group in a tank role and thought I'd share my experiences.
Human Boxing
The Artforum of control multiple wow accounts using chat to corordiante charecters, though still widely used this method has seen a significant upgrade with multiboxing.
The controls
Engaging mobs - With human boxing every "human" must be enabled before each pull, the prefered method is spamming the follwing macro "/p >>>INCOMING<<<" though this can still cause issue's with certain "humans" as there chars maybe in "gone WC" mode and will be rather unresponsive.
Following - It seems "humans" do not have a /follow command with them just standing there doing nothing, going off to gather, or just staring at somthing pretty. use the following macro to help control though it conly works on occation I suggest spamming it atleast 5 times to help its effectiveness "/p FFS come ere u guys!"
Assisting - "human" assisting is broken, it seems "humans" dont have the memory to support it(and no u cant throw a 2gig stick in there ear and see if it fixes the problem no matter how tempting it is) Ive tried several methods from raid marking the mobs to trying the out dated macro "/p ASSIST ME!!!" but none work, with the "humans" either attacking the nearest target or just running around looking busy.
Healing - dont ask how many times I hit my "heal tank" key it just doesnt work, i swear i nearly broke the keyboard with my mashing, from what i can see "human" healing is based on a random number generator throwing out heals to random targets at random intervals with no actual logic at all.
Crowd Control - Im still not sure what this is as my setup is 4 shammy 1 pali but from what i could tell its where the "human" would sheep your target to help reset agro, I really cant see much of a use for it myself.
Conclusion
"Human boxing" needs some seriose upgrades before I'll attempt it again!
