    Default Losing connection between machines

I run 2 machines with 3 toons ( 2 on the slave machine, maximized ) and just tiday discovered an annoying bug. When I start up everything works fine, the other toons do what they're supposed and beside the other annoying thing with the master not passing shift/ctrl all is fine. Until som 10 minutes of playing when the slaves suddenly forget to listen to the master and just stand around looking dumb. If I control one of them instead the commands are still being distributed between them so keyclone seems to be working at least doin that, but no connection between the machines exist anymore.

When I log out and check the keyclones i find that the one on the slave has frozen it's window and will not respond to anything less than a hard termination of the application via the task manager.

At first I thought the problem was connected to my other problem ( shift/ctrl-passing ) because since alt-keys seemed to work I used them.. but remapping my keys to just plain buttons did not seem to help.

Perhaps I'll try an earlier version of keyclone..

Oh, I run AVG antivirus on both machines, no firewalls ( no software one that is ) and Spybot search and destroy resident.. as well as multiplicity

Edit: Tried the f-version and it did not freeze up on me at all, played for about an hour. Still the same shift/ctrl-problem tho

please send me your keyclone system-ids and i'll check to see if i can determine the problem

    same issue here.

windows xp 32 bit on main machine
windows vista ultimate 64 bit on slave machine

vista machine connects to xp machine

everything works smooth but sometimes it looses the connection.
on several days it happens five times an hour
on several days it happens only once within five hours.

both machines and keyclones are working
keypresses are passed on the same machine
but the slave machine only shows the connection to the main machine, not the wow session running on it.

if you try to reconnect to the main machine or change some settings the keyclone windows freezes
and needs to be killed via the task manager. Restarting solves the problem and everything works fine again
until it happens again which can be in 5 mins or 5 hours.

if you need screenshots, more details, just let me know

i went looking for anything i could find that could have caused this. i may have found the issue. i'm currently play-testing v1.8h (well, i was last night... i'll do more tonight) and want to do it another night before releasing.

if it goes well, i'll release it tonight.

(sorry pyro... your fix didn't make it in this version... i didn't want to hold up any bug fixes people could use...)

On a small hijack, do you need more testers for the lockforeground feature?

right now, i'm ok... that feature is on hold until i push this release (when people start complaining about bugs, new features and capabilities get dropped in priority.. sorry)

    new version should be tonight

Completely agree when it comes to bug fixes and the like. The offer still stands though for beyond 1.8h

Good to hear this wasnt just me

I was beginning to think something was wrong with my clone machine, but I must admit I had my suspicions as this never happened for me with the previous release.

Its amazing how ironic probability can be with these kind of things... 9 times out of 10 this "crash" happened to me right as I either pulled a boss or engaged in a bit of pvp :|
