Level 30 right now, really low on money and in 10lvs till mounts....

Well I am really broke right now, about 40g net. I need to have enough money for 3 lv 40 mounts. Anyone got advise on what to farm or where to grind out the cash?

Stop buying shit in the AH, period ;) No, you don't need that shield, no you don't need that robe, no, you don't need those mats/cloth/etc... ;p

Best advice I can give is to mine or skin and sell those; Herbalism works too but it takes a bit more patience and annoyance gathering than mining does(though endgame it can pay off a little better due to constant potion/elixir/flask use by raiders); loot EVERYTHING you kill. Every silver adds up. If you have to, stop and farm cloth to sell en masse, go "solo" deadmines for linen/wool, stockades for mostly wool/some silk, wool and silk fetch surprisingly high prices sometimes; since you're 5boxing you could proooobably "solo" deadmines with little issue and if yer careful stocks wouldn't be much trouble

I 100% solo'd DM on my warr at 37 and pala at 34 respectively; adding 4 more to the mix should make up for being 30 if you can watch aggro and heal yourself, and Stockades I could solo 1 mob at a time on my Rogue AT level, though I had to run out of instance once one died so I didn't have to waste "ohshit" buttons like Vanish

DE all the greens you get that you dont use and sell off the mats on the AH
Any extra leather you skin sell it off on the AH
Herbs do the same
Ore or bars do the same

Anywho, I had to sell off a lot of DE mats from instances and ALL the cloth I got to get my mounts, and I didn't get them until lvl 43. For my epic mounts, I finally broke down and got a 1000g loan at lvl 64 from a friend to pay for them. Paid him back at lvl 66.

Also, if you find any Eagle Cloth or Monkey Leather in DM, depending on your server's economy you can get 3-6g for those for twinks and people who simply have money to burn on their alts. I sell tons of 'em for 5g all the time, Defias set especially.

But seriously, I gave each of my toons 20g and a full set of bags when I rolled them. I have never bought or sold anything off the AH with them (I do this through a mule) and through questing, silver drops and training, I am at a net loss of about 24g, at lvl37.

If you aren't lucky enough to have a lvl70 main, you may want to take up instance farming. On my very first toon, a (single) warrior (in February '05) I could solo WC at level 40, and make about 10g/hour + AH the greens and cloth. Prior to TBC, farming 10-15g/hour was no easy feat, hence I have not done it since and stuck to dailies which can easily net 150+g/hour

I have to say, I saw "Eagle Cloth" and "Monkey Leather" and though, what the hell is Monkey Leather? Which monkeys do you skin for that?

You're going to get a lot of gold when you start farming SM Lib+Arm+Cath. You still have 10 levels to go, and SM is where you really start to see an increase in obtaining gold (from my experiences).

My 3x shaman group has 240g at level 31 and it has been incredibly easy, so I'm a little baffled on why you're so po'.

There is absolutely no reason for your team to be broke. My new priest/mage/mage group is currently at level 12 and has 18g. Stringy Wolf Meat/Tangy Clam Meat sells for 2g a stack on my server and you can best believe that group kills every damn cursed demon and wolf on the way to wherever they're going.

Yes it's time consuming but since I've made making money a priority (as everybody should imo) I don't think about how much time it takes.

I don't spend money on anything other than repairs, catching a flight, or putting stuff up on AH. Of course, my shaman group has to buy water but I consider that a "repair".

Everything that drops I pick up and sell. I leave nothing behind. I'd mow the grass and cut down trees if I knew I could make money from it. (It couldn't be any more boring than leveling up fishing)

I don't level my professions other than the gathering ones and I don't go out of my way to level enchanting either. I d/e everthing that doesn't/won't sell at AH.

I refrained from saying how much gold my Shamen had because I tri-boxed too Yamio...I sorta think the gold will be split a little more with a 5boxer than it would be with a triboxer(cuz I too had 200+g at 40 and my other alts are relatively rich lol) so we sorta have an advantage in that department; that said, AH selling and never ever ever ever ever ever buying from it is a good start lol
