WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLBUUUURR!
(think Flintstones)
Most people do a diamond setup like this:
..X
XXX
..X
This isn't illegal. All you do is bind different movements to the same key:
Main toon- backwards = ~
Toon1- strafe right = ~
Toon2- strafe left = ~
Toon3-forward = ~
Toon4-backward = ~
So, when you hit ~ they all move in different directions.

Yes it's legal and here's a hint...when you next log into WoW, hit esc, click on keybindings and enjoy figuring it out
[EDIT]
Bah, Gallo...build a man a fire, he's warm for a day....set a man on fire, he's warm the rest of his life
Might just be me but I'd rather give people hints on where to start looking and at least see them try to help themselves before spoon-feeding them...especially when all the answers are pretty much already available here.

I think basically how it is done is by rebinding a particular key for different movements on alts. Say I pick 'p', I rebind it on alt 1+2 to strafe right and alt 3+4 to strafe left, so when it's pressed they move out from their original position (1+2 go right, 3+4 go left). I think two of the alts need to walk (as opposed to run) left/right for a proper formation, but never having done that myself I can't say anymore about it. I believe that there is a sticky explaining different formations and how to bind them.
As you're just rebinding movements it's allowed, it's just a different movement for each alt, so no different from pressing 2 and getting a consecrate, fireball, shadowbolt and heal cast on different toons (depending on what each alt has bound to '2').
Generally I would use this route as well... but I like to debunk any thoughts that anything is "illegal" ASAP.Originally Posted by 'Knytestorme',index.php?page=Thread&postID=58018#p ost58018

yeah, understand that....guess I was a little too subtle by just pointing them in the direction of their WoW options![]()
It's hard to be patient with noobs when you know most there is to know about multiboxing already. Patience is a virtue young padawanOriginally Posted by 'Knytestorme',index.php?page=Thread&postID=58026#p ost58026

On my main acct, I have Arrow keys unbound
On my 2nd acct, I have left arrow as strafe left, and right arrow as strafe right
On my 3rd acct, I have left arrow as strafe RIGHT and right arrow as strafe LEFT
With keyclone unpaused, I press Left Arrow for a second and my main stays still, alt1 moves left, alt2 moves right, and I Have a Triforce of Death >D
