    Default Questions about Dual-Boxing.

    Hiya! I am pretty new to this and I just want to clearify a few thing, Lets get started;

For every character I have I need a own account for it?

I need more then one screen to do it?

    I can use one computor?

And Is there any program that .. makes it super easy to dualbox and you learn the program fast and easy? :P And are there any class ideas? I am thinking about doing some retridins for arena but I dunno.

    Welcome! To answer your questions...

Yes, you will need an account for each character you want to run simultaneously with another.

No, you don't need more than one screen to do it. I currently run 1 character on one screen and 4 on another but some have 1 screen for each character or just one for all 5 (or however many they run) It's all based on what you prefer.

And yes, you can use more than one computer but depending on the specs of yours, you may or may not have too.

The program is KeyClone. Search here. There's a ton of information on it. Or..you can use Octopus. It's somewhere on here too. With KeyClone you have to pay for the software but you get amazing support. I've read Octopus is great too and it's free. With whichever one you choose, you can't lose.

Class ideas...I've never run two melee classes. I've heard they are complicated but hey, to each their own. Try it out and if it doesn't work out, you can always roll another pair. Good luck!

For real, you really need to learn to read. There are a bunch of stickies on the forums that have the answer to your questions.

Lets not make this one of those forums where you have 10 dicks running around parroting "read the stickies". No matter how many times you say it there will always be someone new that posts an already answered questions so you do nothing but add to the garbage pile with your "read the stickies" post. We all see things in different ways, where one person might see answers to thier question another might see confusion. Nothing wrong with answering the same question multiple times, often different words are used each time and that only serves to empower search for those of us that do use it.

Lets keep this forum friendly and not try to run around with 10 guys policing new users in a rude manner. If you feel that something is already listed in the sticky then at least make your post useful, instead of saying:

"For real, you really need to learn to read. There are a bunch of stickies on the forums that have the answer to your questions."

You should answer mor in the manner that Mak did, GJ Mak.

Don't post simply to be negative, lets keep this place friendly to all users so we dont end up like the wow general forums. That place is a dump.

I totally agree. Yes, the stickies are there for a reason, and some people neglect to try and do a little research on their own, but we can still be a little more welcoming then that. In scenarios like these I try to link a specific sticky that helped me get started when I first found this place. There is still the point though that what might be clear to one person might not be to another.

I'd say it comes down to how they ask... the phrase "Give a man a fish(or a fire) and he eats for a day(or is warm for the night); teach a man to fish(or set him on fire) and he'll eat(or be warm) for the rest of his life(get it lolz)"

Basically trying to promote self-learning and a little common sense(which is surprisingly rare nowadays) because there's things we may not be able to help with because each of our setups, from chars to multiboxing solutions to computer specs, is different and you'll have to be capable of fixing yer own issues sometimes :p There IS alot of info in the stickies and wiki available(however like I've said in countless threads before THEY NEED TO BE FUCKING MERGED AND TRIMMED not left up there outdated and many with vague names; gimme mod and I'll do it myself :p)

Case by case basis, basically. Figure out whether to teach the guy to fish, or to set him on fire ;) In this OP's case, I'd be more likely to smack him with a flaming fish. His first questions're legitimate but the ending sentence inspires the trout-slappery in me. :P
