    Default eve online

    hey.

I know a lot of players in eve online dual box.

Any here dualing boxing eve? Atm i am running a caldari and amarr both with about 1.4 mill skill points. caldari is ok miner n hauler with a caracel. Amarr toon is mostly pvp specced with a decent destroyer setup.

i run both on one screen one pc windowed. I get good fps and running both accounts is pretty dam easy.

    Cheers

I've tried it out twice. It's an overall good game if you enjoy politics and a complete sandbox type of pvp setting.

For me I couldn't get into it enough though and dual boxing is quite different in Eve. There is very little keystrokes going on, most commands are point and click which makes it very hard to be effective with more than 1 except for mining.

First post, I'm also interested in dual-boxing Eve Online

I was wondering if it would be possible to use the X-Keys and their Macroworks software to create hotkeys that duplicate mouse functions

e.g. Press Button1 to run a macro that moves the mouse to the undock button and left clicks it

That would be quite handy in Eve as there are NO keyboard shortcuts for most of the combat actions, everything is mouse controlled

Is there other software that allows you to do that?

I dual boxed Eve. Had 1 pvp/fighter and 1 industry/miner guy. I played the game in beta for a long time and really lost my taste for it back then. Multiboxing anything having to do with fighting other players is asking for trouble. You dont just rez and jump back into the fight with that game.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A bird will fall frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.

I used to run 5. 2 clients on 2 machines, and 1 on a laptop. 4 of them in mining barge, 5th in a hauler. Only played the game about 3 months. Advancement was way to slow for my taste, yay another 15 days and I can do XXXXX. Primary play games like this to PVP, never could get in to a corp that was in to it or train. It would be me vs 200 ships in some low sec space getting blown up in my raven.

I could of really got into with the right corp and people around me. Oh well i'm happy back at my home of wow.

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

An old housemate of mine used to dual instance eve on his machine. To be fair it's not even in the same league as dual boxing with wow and other similar mmorpgs. You can leisurely switch backwards and forwards using alt tab easily... although I guess it could get interesting if you are dual boxing in fleet battles and stuff in 0.0, but I reckon you'd be less use to your corp in that situation anyways. In short though it's generally a lot easier to play two accounts at once than wow, and a LOT more people do it.

Okay so it sounds like it's pretty easy to dual box Eve, which is good

How about using X-Keys and macroworks though? Anyone have experience using them to simulate mouse clicks as opposed to key presses?
