"Only" 8,000 gold...I hate you. :P It was enough trouble getting 5k for my epic flier...how you people manage to thousands like that stockpiled is beyond me ;P
Dailies are great for this. My 70Hunter does a circuit of his 25 dailies in about 2 hours, and then feeds the resulting gold to my 5-Shaman Team. On average, the Hunter feeds about 400g per day to the Shammies if I don't spend any of it on him.

The crux is getting time to do that and level the Shammy team. Typically that's only 2-3 times a week, but still that means Shammy teams gold is increasing by 1,000 gold per week.
26 weeks for epic flying mounts. /wrists

(this is why people buy gold boys and girls - not that they should. this is just one of the root causes)
Yeah, it would be if he only does it on his hunter. Take that circuit though with his 5 shaman at 70 and it's 2k gold per day, or 13 days for all 5 to have epic mounts. I haven't seen the point to farming mount money with my mains before my team were able to use it, now they are at 70 and all bought their own riding training and mounts and are back up to 1k gold each with 1/2 of SMV to go before starting dailies.

There literally is no reason to buy gold any more since the introduction of dailies and now the upping to 25 quest limit. yes, a case could be made for it back int he days of 40 mans and needing to buy mats for flasks, etc when you didn't have time outside raiding to go farm the mats yourself or grind the gold but now..not so much
