I'm building a new rig and debating on whether to go with the Q6600 or E8500 chipset, any suggestions.

You won't notice any difference between quad-boxing in WoW with a Q6600 or E8500.
However, E8500 has ever slightly more future for possible boxing with other, future games!
Altho, by that time.If you just look to quad box in WoW though, Q6600 will be able to handel that perfectly fine.
It's more about the ram you have and videocard power, I think.

Slowly crawling back towards the experience that is Multiboxing Mayhem
Ok sounds good, they are both about the same price, so was just wondering if one would have a better benefit running 4 wows. I was thinking 4GB Ram and dual 8800 GTs for my other important components.

After almost 3 years of wow, I'm considering to try some boxing too.
I'm probably starting dualboxing on one computer to learn all the stuff so let me know if your setup works well, it's not too expensive.![]()
