I made a team of 4 tauren shaman and a pally and I was in the same boat as you. I bg'd until I had 2 parts of s1 gear for each of them, ran around the barren world looking for some world pvp, and at that point I just decided I needed a change. I played horde through 5 70s leveled as singles and leveled the old fashioned way. So I recently rerolled alliance on a high pop RP-PvP server (Emerald Dream). I'm having a blast so far. All it took for me to start having fun again was a change. I've played alliance side before, but it was so long ago I forgot most of it. Plus, I haven't seen any of the post 60 alliance areas for myself. Not to mention I remember probably less than 10% of the alliance quests I've done in the past.

Another thing that helped refresh my interest in WoW. I'm taking the time doing things I don't normally do. Like leveling tradeskills, exploring more, and reading the quest dialog... :x
Maybe you just need a change.
So, since you re-rolled on a RP-PVP server...do you actually roleplay? And...if so, with multiple characters?

Every guild seems to concentrate on being pubbies with complete lack of skill and common sense or running nothing but heroics and raids ever, that is my problem with WoW right now. Nobody can gear up in my guild but damn if we're not going to raid every day. What would make me regain interest in WoW would be a fresh server, PvP or hell, even PvE. I'd get to reroll and start over with new people. Endgame WoW is a bit better now that there are blue honorsets giving you a real good advantage over most people in battlegrounds, but that's it.

I rolled a pair of warriors on one server, had such a great start that a warlock there gave me five gold because he laughed at my guys who looked like hulk hogan. I think I might play them more. Might find people to play with, make new friends. Variety is the spice of life and there is but dust left in World of Warcrafts spice jar

What was the point of your post? You're bored but you keep playing because you are afraid of going behind.

    QQ more imo.

I totally agree with quitting for awhile if you're that bored. I quit for well over a year and probably wouldn't have came back if I hadn't found out about multi boxing. Did I miss playing? Yeah. But did I miss the boredom? No way in hell. There were plenty of other things that grabbed my attention, and I got the the chance to catch up on some much needed reading. (Terry Goodkind? Meh...never again).

I say, if you're so worried that you're going to lose points instead of mindlessly treading along doing something that supposedly makes you bored, then there's something else that's wrong. That's a question only you can answer. I'm one of those people that is lucky enough to not get bored very often, but when I do I go find something else to do. Easy problem that has an easy fix imo.

I'd be emo if I wasn't dualboxing WoW for gaming. Until Warhammer Online multiboxing, the best thing a lot of us bored with WoW can do is to roll whatever faction, horde-alliance, we don't have a level 70 on, on another server to start from scratch.

It doesn't seem like many people really roleplay much on the server. I mainly rolled there because my rl friend plays there. He seems to be into the RP aspect more than me. If I'm going to RP I guess I need to think of a good background as to why I have 4 characters who look exactly like me following me around. I'll just say it's the paparazzi.

Playing on an RP server doesn't necesarily mean you RP. You do avoid a lot of the "lols" and "wtfnoobs" and if you enjoy a greater degree of immersion, its pretty cool to see people walking around in various outfits chatting in /say and not bitching about how billy took her doll or he's going to twist her head off. Its not like playing on an RP server makes you some sort of crazy yuppie looking for picnics in Goldshire and cybers in the Deeprun Tram.

I've rp'd with 5 hunters before, and it can be pretty fun all things considered. I never used a direct follow command, I had them chain following each other so they moved in a line, pretended they were all brothers, gave each a different personality

It actually went down quite a hit, and I had a lot less "Omg reported!" than on normal realms, work that out ><

Id have to agree, I had a priest and warlock before I started multi-boxing. The lock and priest both had full S3, every piece, all the badge gear and such. Plus the lock had full t6, so I didn't have anything to do... Once your fully geared in WoW it can get rather boreing, thats why WoW makes you farm so much.

Then I started multi-boxing, and oddly enough am actually enjoying leveling.

i'd say re roll, or if you want a new game, I'd try CoD4 if you like FPS, C&C (3? The newest 1) if you like RTS. Also I hear the new vegas is good.
