If you want to watch RPers in action, create a toon on Alliance side Argent Dawn (US) and go to the Goldshire Inn. There always seems to be 20-30 RPers there during peak hours.

Though, once I am 70... *evil laugh* ... well, they'll see.

I've played on RP servers since launch, they're the best. One piece of advice I can give is to not get to flipped out by the 'thees and thous'. RP is what you make it. Take a minute to read the quest text... you rarely if ever see an NPC talk that way! If you spend too much time on your delivery you'll inevitably miss all the good moments.

I can tell you that playing FIVE characters opens up infinitely more rp possibilities. If only for the fact that random people you meet are BEGGING for a chance to interact with you, good or bad.

Have fun! =)

I made a team of 4 tauren shaman and a pally and I was in the same boat as you. I bg'd until I had 2 parts of s1 gear for each of them, ran around the barren world looking for some world pvp, and at that point I just decided I needed a change. I played horde through 5 70s leveled as singles and leveled the old fashioned way. So I recently rerolled alliance on a high pop RP-PvP server (Emerald Dream). I'm having a blast so far. All it took for me to start having fun again was a change. I've played alliance side before, but it was so long ago I forgot most of it. Plus, I haven't seen any of the post 60 alliance areas for myself. Not to mention I remember probably less than 10% of the alliance quests I've done in the past.

Another thing that helped refresh my interest in WoW. I'm taking the time doing things I don't normally do. Like leveling tradeskills, exploring more, and reading the quest dialog... :x
Maybe you just need a change.
So, since you re-rolled on a RP-PVP server...do you actually roleplay? And...if so, with multiple characters?
I roleplay with my four shaman and it is shitloads of fun. xD Typical sister like, always argueing with themselves. (I only roleplay when there's actually other roleplayers around tho. :P )

RP is fun but it's not enforced on my server and the RP you find in Silvermoon is pretentious bullcrap from belves controlled by twelve year olds cybering, rarely anything worthwhile or good or improvised on the spot ever. I hit 70 on my moonkin duo which was my goal and decided to toss in the towel. The game is constructed in such a way that my only chance to get things done right now? Either find the few pubbies that are sane, or use three of the Stonehoof sisters. Level 70s in seemingly every guild doesn't care about helping out outside of a raid or heroic, people are expected to gear themselves up, goldspam gets worse, etc.

Here's for Warhammer Online, may you suck me dry.

I have been playing since december 2004 and have become bored more than once and just took a break each time only to find I wanted back in the game.

I hit 60 then took a 3 month break, I hit knight-captain and then took a break, I found a great 5man team and ran scholo and stratholme over and over till we could run with no wipes, then took a break, then TBC hit and I played till 70 and then tanked all the heroics and Kara I could stand then took a break.

Then decided arena is where the game is headed and decide to be the best I can be at arena. My best friend and I are playing 2v2 and went down to 1200 and then learned stuff I never knew and came quickly up to 1600. Its fun beating teams in full S3/BT gear while we are in just S1 and my friend is still wearing blues from 68. We cant wait to catch up with a current season gear set like all S4 when it comes and see how far we can climb.

I found multiboxing and now hooked again for a while. I so want to run 5shaman and just go play around in BG/arena.

I bet I will be taking a break soon only to come back.

I'm on a RP server because a friend was on there, and like 90% of them don't rp.

(Until recently).

Two of my guildies decided to get married. As Guild Master I was the one marrying them, but thought it would interesting to play it as a drunken priest, who hits on the bride and tries to dissuade her from marriage and run off with me.

There were a load of us there, and all sorts kicked off - great fun.

In cities and the like I'll RP if someone comes up to me (In fact I rp'ed with a draenei on my two box shamans).

I don't subscribe to this "Thee and thou" though. It's not medieval England, it's azeroth.

Thou dost protest too much methinks malarky.

Although i do try to hiss sibilantly on my undead lock (he's evil you know). or If i were on an alliance dwarf would try to do a bad scottish accent like shrek.

I only RP on my Lock, a lock has no choice but to be evil. I make sure that a lot of rabbits, dear, cows die as I run around - (note to self: create MWAHAHAHAHAHA macro)

I RP on Emerald Dream. Look up hot or hat and you should find me. It's a little different. My guild is Tyndari. Basically, the theme is that Tyndari is a blood elf family who's sole purpose is to enslave all other races.

The fun part though is I have macro's set up for chat delays (legit, non safe functions), so I run around with the characters talking amongst themselves. I'm the evil blood elf who controls a legion of undead. (Sounds like a death knight?)

The thing about RP-PVP servers is, it's still wow, you don't have to RP, but you can find people to RP with.
