Default Plz help, I am not smart enough

Alright I used to be able to run 2 versions of WOW without any trouble. Even when it would lag soo bad it was a slide show both copies kept running. Now if I move too fast or there are too many NPCs the second copy of wow crashes with a 132 error.

The problem started after I had to repair windows XP, and when I originally updated my video drivers I was getting insane clipping errors. Then I system restored and started getting the crash errors again. So I tried with an older version of the drivers and this time WOW wouldn't even launch. It told me something about not being able to start graphic acceleration. And my computer was acting like the video card wasn't working (choppy and nothing worked) So I restored again, and now I am here.

Nothing on my hardware has changed, all I did was update windows, so the problem has to be either drivers or some setting that changed. If one of you can fix it I would be very very impressed. But I am a little afraid to update drivers again because it just made the problems worse. Any help would be appreciated.

When you reverted back to an older driver, did you first uninstall the current on > reboot > make sure you don't have any video driver > then install the older driver?

    Or

did you just install the older driver while you still had the new one active?

If it's the 2nd one, it might be the source of your problems. It's always advised to fully uninstall and remove your current video drivers b4 installing a new one.

I’ve never been a fan of system restore, or reloading windows. Sounds like you have your self a tough problem and have already explored quite a few possible directions to solve it.

My motto is when in doubt format!

Start Fresh, clean. Format that sucker and load Windows, then wow. Test, Working? Great now do a few windows updates, keep a track record of which ones you updated. See if you can reproduce the problem. If you can, then remove said update. Never install said update again.

Wish I had something more to suggest. That’s at least something to fall back on.

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

hmm, actually I just did a system restore and that worked fine. I just did some testing and it turns out when I run both clients in windowed mode I have no problems other than my computer can't quite run them flawless. It has to be some priority setting or something, any other thoughts?
