5 shaman team Aldor or Scryer?

Hi guys! Long time visitor, first time poster here! got a few questions for you others with 5 shaman team (or any multibox team really).

I'm nearing the 70 mark, about to ding 66 hehe, I still havn't had any of my shamans go aldor/scryer. I just want to know how did you others go about choosing a faction? All go with one faction? split them up, 2 here and 3 there? And mainly whats best for ele shams?

Surprised no replies but lots of views. If you're playing 5 Elemental Shammies, then I'd say Scryer. This is not considering the crafting recipies as I don't know what professions you have. But Scryers have a Trinket & Ring available as well as Inscription that all provide spell damage. The quest rewards also look more geared towards spell damage & crit.

Heh Heh. I just signed up my 5 shamen as aldor. I couldn't decide so I just said f it and went with the side I had the most turn-ins with.

As a side note, the inscriptions for the Aldor lean towards + spell damage while Scryer are more + crit. Also the sunwell rep neck has a bonus effect that is different depending on whether your exalted with aldor or scryer. From wowwiki:

"The Aldor proc is Light's Wrath, which grants +120 spell damage and healing for 10 seconds. The Scryers proc is Arcane Bolt, which is a bolt that causes 333-367 arcane damage with a chance to crit. The bolt is affected by spell critical strike, but not +spell damage and healing or spell hit."

I'd say the aldor one is better. But what do I know, I'm not close to being exalted with either faction.

Oh and Aldor rep turn ins usually auction for 10-25% more than scryer stuff.

I was planning on Aldor as well for my 5 Shammy team mostly because of the Aldor-Sunwell additions.

This is just my opinion but the only reason I see to go Scryer is the epic ring. It's a decently nice caster ring however you could probably replace this rather quickly. The shoulder enchants aren't a big enough of a difference imo to really care about.

If you buy your turn-ins (as opposed to grinding thousands of signets), Scryer is significantly cheaper right now, at least on my server. I was able to purchase my way to exalted x3 with about a weeks worth of doing 5 daily quests each day with my team. It was more efficient for me than doing any of the actual Scryer quests.

But the main reason I chose Scryer was because multi-boxing + Aldor rise elevator mishaps really builds up a repair bill.

Yeah, there is seriously no choice here. You must choose Scryer. I set my hearth to the Aldor Inn at level 10 (Draenai are forced to go with Aldor until they're level 58 and can choose). I lost count of the number of times I died falling off the elevator. You think it's a joke, but seriously; go to the bottom of that elevator and look at all the skeletons there. The items you get are superior, but the real reason is the elevator.

I went Scryer so that I'm closer to the Flight Master and I can fall off the high level area without dying and not have to use the elevator going down. :thumbsup:
