Thread: assjack = me...

    Default assjack = me...

(edit) Lol.. well, come to find out, the lag on the server I am on is crap, or my conenction is the suck. So when setting up the macros across all my toons, things got misspelled, and also, when I did get it to work, the lag was making all my toons target odd things... So that sort of led to things not working. (edit)

So then, I have been looking at some macros about hunters, and as of right now, I can't get a few of them to work correctly.

First off, I have my main target a mob and assign a target (Skull or whatever)
Then I try to get one of my other toons to assist him to get the target, with the same button as the skull logo. That first one works.
Then I have it go to star or whatever for the next mob, and the rest of the other toons assist. But I have all of them linked to different buttons for that macro, so I don't know why it keeps doing this.

Maybe if someone could type down the correct macro line up for me, or at least show me how in some fashion.

What are you using to get the target with your alts?

    /assist main
    target=focustarget

    etc...

I'm not sure exaclty what you're trying to do the with the alts - can you clarify? Do you want your alts to target whatever your main is targetting? Or do you want your alts to have thier own targets independent of the main's target?

Well, I saw what Vyn was doing with her toons on her 5 hunter team, so I was trying to do the same thing. But every time I used that type of macro, they would auto attack, and or just all targeted the same mob and then jumped it. Come to find out, I guess I have to run through all my toons and take off the default hot keys for most of the macros to work.

But yeah, I was trying to make it to where I press, lets say (1) and it sets the target to a skull, and at the same time, alt toon number 1 assists and targets it. (*so I can send my pet in to tank it*)
and then do the same for 2,3,4 so all my toons have their own mob to tank, then after that is set up, I send in the pets with CTRL1, and then have all the hunters assist my main to take out each one of the mobs at a time.

If you set your focus to your main and use taget=focustarget in your DPS macros, you can still manually select targets on your alts and then /petattack will attack the target slected on your alt, while your alts will continue to DPS the target of your main.

Alternatively you could use these commands with macros on your alts:

/targetenemy - this is like pressing tab
/targetenemy 1 - this is like pressing tab but the cycle goes in the reverse direction.

    Hope this helps...

That about did I think. For some reason I am still getting some errors in my set up. I guess its really all to do with how I tell my pets to attack a certain target, and then tell the owners to kill a certain mob while the pets tank, somewhere in there it gets a little messed up and they seem to leave their target and attack what I am shooting at.

All in all, I might have a few things set up wrong, and also, I think when using the X-keys (52) and using one of the addons (bongos) setting up the key combination for stuff like ctrl, alt, 1 for cast something, it looks at it and says ctrl, alt 1 and tells the pet to attack since the pet command to attack is ctrl 1... I guess it takes a little bit more time to think everything through and make sure you got all the lose ends taken care of.

    Thanks for the info though.
