    Default Wow User Interface

    Hey all,

Just wanted to say what an awsome program. I have been searching for something like this for a while now.

I have a problem with my user interface not sizing up to the window size. I tried to search in the forums for this but I couldnt find anything.

    Thanks

Howdy Insomnium and welcome to the forums!

you may have some luck with ui scaling within the game. others use various addons to move the buttons around, allowing you to layout your screen how you see fit.

i believe the current add-on du jour for button placement is bongos... hopefully others will respond with their experiences in the matter

good luck and have a great weekend!

Don't want to open a special Topic for that ... but can anyone explain the difference between /focus and /assist.

What benefit would it include to use /focus instead of /assist?

I am noticing some issues in /assist due my 4 toons need a while to registrate i switched target ... and for example heal themselfs (because they are still assisting me on the Mob) instead of me.

/assist <charName> causes you to target the current target of <charName>.

So your main targets a mob, your alt hits his /assist main button and now your alt is targeting the mob as well.

/focus <targetName> sets a secondary target that is remembered until you set a new focus and is accesable as a target for your macros. ie. [target=focus]

So your alt sets /focus main for example and now any macro where you have the modifier [target=focus] will cast at your main until you set a different focus.

using /focus instead of /assist is the currently recommended method ... but also introduces a level of complexity that can be avoided at the lower levels... allowing people to get use to multi-boxing.

i generally recommend moving to /focus between 15 and 20. by that time, most people have a handle on multi-boxing and understand what to expect... so throwing in the macro editing and the various /focus issues can be concentrated on better .. and debugging the process is easier (since they don't think it's the multi-boxing, just some macro thing)
