    I've been trying this with some success today powerlevelling my druid, started the day at 58, now 61.5 after about 6 hours... Took a while to get going and get the technique down, but this is basically how I did it:

    Group makeup:

    Leader = mage 70
    Druid = lowbie 58-61
    Shammy x2 70
    Priest = healbot 70

    - So I get my group to SP, buff up, shield the druid, then have him leave the group.
    - He then AOE's using r1 Hurricane the mobs (bogstrucks are a good start point)
    - Quickly switch to the mage and AoE at the point where the druid is standing
    - 60 secs to finish off the mobs mainly dpsing from the shammies
    - Druid gets around 2.3k XP per mob
    - Reinvite before the time is up.

    Voila

    Pretty good rate once you get the rhytum of it, but also boring after 3 or 4 runs.

    Tried in HFR too, but the mobs are more ranged or caster types, so was more tricky.

    I'd rather kick the 70 just in case the lowbies need some ass-saving, but the problem is if the 70 is still present I'm worried the exp will still split because he did most of the dmg

    Interesting Kyudo...if that works that gives me some ideas for my third Shaman to do some catching up in SM...leave group, Chain Lightning a pack, let druid kill via wrath spam, reinvite, repeat...will try it once he hits 32 and has chain lightning then report back here with results :p

    So basically, party members that are in the instance, but not in the group, do not modulate exp gain for the lowbie? Why not just have the mage stand outside, pull the instance with the paladin, kick the paladin, and kill them with a max rank consecration? Or is the ticket that the paladin did the majority of damage but left the instance, so the lowbie's exp gain is only modulated by the 30% damage the mage did to finish up the job?

    If that's the case, maybe I could make it work with my paladin and a shaman with some nova totems...

    It's bizarre... I'm only referring to the last video in the OP's post... but... it DOES NOT work in either Ramparts or Furnace...

    The technique works perfectly in Slave pens. But when I attempt it in either Ramparts or Furnace, the "boostee" only gets like 85xp per mob...

    Wierdness...

    So if you wanna try it, get the lowbie to 55, and try it in SP.

    Looking at this method, it creates the image of a low /played, but the effort involved amounts to 3-4 extra people, particularly at 58 when you go from 3 power levelers to 4, so getting 4 characters to 70 will still take about 7 days.

    Well I can't comment about the 1-58, but with a non multiboxed group with the right make-up you cant beat it....

    16k for a pull, that's like handing in a quest.

    Harder to co-ordinate boxing though, ashamed to say I actually wiped a few times before I got going

    I wasn't trying to say it wasn't the fastest, just that the actual man-hours probably isn't significantly different, particularly in the case of a multiboxers need for characters. Assuming it takes 7 days to take a full team of 5 to 70, thats 33.6 hours per character. Assuming you power 2 characters at a time from 1-58, and one at a time 58-70, 24 hours for 1-58 and 19 hours 58-70, you get 5 70s in about 33.4 hour per character, which is an improvement of about an hour, but how much of an actual improvement is determined by your raw 5-boxing leveling speed, and how fast one can pull this method off.

    In the case of someone soloing a character to 70, using friends to boost, and all the values above, they actually lose about 23 man-hours than what they would do just soloing. You get a nice /played out of it, but its not necesarily the most efficient way to go about doing it.
