Heroics mostly down in WOTLK.

Hey guys,

I've got the first team leveled to 80 with some pre-raid bis slot stuff. No raid items yet. Have most of the heroics down. Got lucky on UP Heroic and the blue proto-drake mount dropped on the third run through there.

Anyway, putting together some videos. We'll start with the easiest. I'll edit some more today and put up the heroic versions later on.

Amazing it's been about 15 years since I (and most others here) have done these. It's totally different without ISBoxer. Much harder of course, but since everyone knows the strategies, easier in a way.

My experience so far with all manual movement in Heroics. Easiest to hardest for me.

CoS is the easiest. Almost made the 25 min time on heroic first run.
UK second.
Old Kingdom - Have an easy way to take down the last boss. Makes the insanity phase not so bad.

Nexus
Utgarde Pinnacle - Had a friend help with gauntlet to get all 4 harpoons first pass for achievement.
Gundrak- Only tough boss is the elemental one. Puddles all the time on everyone, hard to move each on individually and keep dps up.
VH - Got lucky with the bosses. Last boss was tough with pulling everyone in a few times and nova killing off a couple people.

Yet to try on Heroic.

Team is pally tank, 3 mages and priest. Went with fire for burst blast wave, instant flamestrike, dragon's breath and another instant flamestrike. Kills most adds in a few seconds.

Second team is in the mid/late 70s now. Will try Naxx when they get ready. Some bosses seem impossible to do.

Grats on all the great progress and glad to see 3mage DPS team.

My main WotLK team was Pally Tank+Shaman as I liked the AI help from Chain heals & lightnings and liked that everyone could heal/dps & the elementals for hard fights.

Curious what your 2nd team is and whether you have any other teams in progress or planned.

I've got 20 something 70s. Used the joyous journey buff and all the rested to get everyone to max before Wrath. I have 5 shamans, 5 locks, a few more mages, warrior, 5 DKs, and another priest and druid. Plenty (too much lol).

I miss the bloodlust from Shamans and all the utility from the totems. Can't beat instant group poison/disease removal, fear removal, heals and decent dps. Plus Bloodlust.

Next group is a shaman, druid, lock, another priest and DK tank. Once they are done, I can mix and match. Then, eventually get the other classes leveled.

It's a totally different way to play with no software. Way more hectic and sloppy. You miss rotations with mouseover, especially when you need to cleanse or decurse. That said, it's really a lot of fun. The challenge is great.

I really miss the overlay to be able to heal, decurse, remove disease/poison from your main. Spreading out with one key is the biggest one. Not being able to strafe the entire group or spread out instantly is a big pain. Too hard to manually do each one. I'm just letting some things hit and healing through them now.

Anyway, I want to try Naxx again. I was able to get most of it down last time. Some bosses are impossible I think. Some should be okay.

I'm uploading a vid now of the last boss in heroic Old Kingdom. A great strat for those with burst dps during insanity. It should be up in the hour or so.

Are any of the older players multiboxing Wrath? I know many quit when ISBoxer was banned. It was a massive adjustment, but you can still do it. You get used to it. When I watch the videos of it, it looks chaotic with the mouse spinning around lol. It doesn't feel that way when you play. I almost don't notice now since I am focused on the main and the fight.

Ive actually just recently cameback since I quit a little over a year ago. Leveling a Warrior/Shadow Priest/Balance Druid/Ele Shaman/Holy Pally atm.
