    Default Dragonflight Alpha New tools

We discovered early in Alpha that we’d need a solution for players who rely on /follow or similar features to engage with World of Warcraft, as following wasn’t immediately compatible with Dragonriding. To address this, we’ve added “Ride Along”. Dragonriders can speak with Lithragosa (the Dragonriding Trainer) to opt into this new functionality. With Ride Along on, a player in your party may interact with your Dragon Isle Drake to transform into a whelp that will follow alongside your drake. If you are someone who has relied on /follow or have other players help guide you around Azeroth (or find Ride Along to be an interesting accessibility option for other reasons), please try this feature out and share your feedback with us!

    • NEW FEATURE: INTERACT KEY
      • Press the Interact Key to interact with NPCs and objects with a keypress instead of your mouse.
      • Interactive NPCs and objects will highlight as you enter interact range. An icon will appear above NPCs.
      • The default Interact Key is F. If F is not working or is bound to something else, go to the Keybindings menu and make sure “Interact With Target” is bound to a key.
      • Enable this feature by typing “/console SoftTargetInteract 3” in chat. An interface option will be added later.

    as well

    NEW TARGETING SYSTEM: ACTION COMBAT

    • Automatically targets enemies as you approach them, allowing you to start casting abilities immediately.
    • Dynamically switches targets based on where you’re looking.
    • Works alongside the standard targeting system. If you need to lock on to a target, simply press Tab to enter Tab Target Combat.
    • Enable this feature by typing “/console SoftTargetEnemy 3” in chat. An interface option will be added late

NEW OPTION: PRESS AND HOLD CASTING

    • If enabled, allows the player to press and hold a keyboard hotkey to continually cast a spell on an Action Bar without having to repeatedly press the button.
    • This only supports keyboard hotkeys, clicking a spell with the mouse will still cast the spell a single time.
    • Will not work with macros and items.
    • Enable this option under Options > Gameplay > Interface > Combat

Dragonriding whelp BS doesn't address how shitty the default /follow is when you're NOT flying (which is most of the time), or how incessantly you have to RE-follow, especially during combat; Ion has a hardon for overwhelming AOE, even for casual content. I can't just park an alt and let them cast, or they can take a ton of damage (and possibly die). Follow does nothing but break and break and break. Pick up a quest? Broken. Turn in a quest? Broken. Cast a spell? Broken. Knockback (cuz they love that, too!)...broken! Hell, I had characters frequently dying left and right WITH strobe follow.

I am pretty sure that default /follow has been nerfed in recent years, since I only started using strobe follow addons the past few expansions. If manual multiboxing without the strobe follow addons had been THIS godawful, I never would have multiboxed in the first place.

Multiboxing the casual, open world content I did allowed my fucked up hands/wrists to take things easier. It's a lot easier to dirty click on one hand, and spam buttons with two fingers on the other (two tiny macropads, as I use one PC per WoW account) to poorly play three characters, than to properly play a single character. I can't even imagine how frustrating this must be for blind players.

Luckily, I was able to cancel my two other Dragonflight purchases, and the timing of the expiration of my two other accounts was pretty perfect. But it pisses me off that I can't justify the extra subs, when many of these characters have been played since Burning Crusade. And the pain this causes my hands makes me think I may just have to quit, when I'd already quit most of what I loved due to my disability (dungeons, raids and other, more challenging content).

We must be playing a different game because it doesn't break for me. And I never used strobe because I suspected it would cause what did happen which is now addons can't just issue it... but it was fine to just hit my follow key after combat

Is anyone successfully manually 5 boxing Dragonflight? If so, can we see some videos of dungeons, quests or other activity?

I only MB 3 accounts for fun... but I guess Blizzard manage to kill MB. Follow is impossible with this damn drake and a lot of quests and WQ can't be completed in groups. Maybe I should go down to 2 accounts
