Is hardware boxing legal?

Then I've started to use keyboard macro to switch between boxes and cast similar skills faster (my fingers a bit tired of that win+x spam )

Using keyboard macros to string multiple commands together to fire off in a sequence with a single key press is against the rules of the game.

Has the situation really improved in the case of hardware boxing? or am I just so lucky

As of now, the rules relating to "streamlined" multiboxing have not changed.

*I can assume that blizz stopped checking multiboxers because of their problems with law suits etc, but they banned a lot of bots (in steamvault, brd etc).

It's highly unlikely that the workload of customer support is affected by any ongoing legal battles at Blizzard.

any assumptions regarding SOM multiboxing bans in future?

We would prefer not to direct any discussion towards bans, simply because it's entirely speculation and tends to lead absolutely nowhere in terms of useful conversation.

Other than that, there are still plenty of people multiboxing without any penalties, simply because multiboxing, in the most basic sense, is still allowed.
