If I remember correctly WASD can be blocked but shift-WASD will get through... if nothing is bound to shift-WASD then WoW will treat them as if WASD had been pressed. With run aways it may be down to key release in an incorrect manner, it is certainly a problem for the AHK guys... W down presses w down and w up releases it but if w is down and shift-w is released, the w key gets no release signal . might be the same in KC

I get run aways when I try and use shift with movement (even shift-down causes them to run off forwards it wipes me a lot ;(
Runaways are a weird phenomenon. The only time I ever get runaways is if I'm running, I stop, hit my spread macro, and then hit my totem macro too fast. Its the weirdest thing.
