Sync KM replacement options

Starting a thread here to list viable options to replace a Synchronous Keyboard Mouse (Sync KM) switch in a multiboxing setup.

This would remove Input Broadcasting (AKA multicasting or mirroring) from a setup.

One idea so far is to replace the single keyboard to Sync KM with multiple dedicated "key sticks" that would allow you to have a number of keys to bind to each PC.

To help visualize the following is a picture of a setup that one user was moving to with 4 key keysticks with macros for his three DPS characters:

The three 4key keysticks for the above would be ~$38 (~$12.67 each)...

The following has a mocked up picture showing how it could look for a 5boxer for ~$68 (including a ~$7 cutting board to mount them on):

The setup should be stable and could look pretty professional if screwed down to a clean cutting board...

Also included are also options for 5 and 7 keys per client...

Also included are 3 inexpensive options for adding movement keys to be sent to one slot and a picture of initial thoughts of where to mount the movement keys...

The following is a picture of someone 5boxing this way (these look to be mounted left to right with gaps between each while the mocked up picture in the spreadsheet is up/down and placed as tight as possible):

The following are two 2 box examples using just a main keyboard and a 2nd keystick to make them more like a seamless single keyboard experience:

I may actually use something like the above 2 keyboard type inputs to 5 box with the Tank+3DPS being run via mouse-over-focus boxing and the healer having a dedicated keystick to run the 5box from what feels like a seamless combined single keyboard. If I do that I would likely orient my windows and move my mouse around a quadrant formed by my Tank+3DPS like this circle for my Tank+DPS rotations:

Don't do it, just accept that WoW is not boxable any more. There are still games that ARE boxable, like EQ, EQ2, Rift, Lotro, SWTOR

This is not a WoW sub-forum and the post above does not mention WoW nor is it necessarily specific to WoW...

Sure you can guess all you want and be clueless at the same time. For the record I do not have nor have I ever had any hardware input broadcasting (including the use of a Sync KM) in any version of WoW so frankly you are just flat wrong.

This is the 'Hardware Tools' sub-forum and the above is a hardware option that boxers of any game may want to be aware of.

Please stop trying to turn this generic Hardware option/solution thread in the 'Hardware Tool' subforum into a WoW thread... In that linked thread the green posts verify that 2 keyboards for 2 clients are fine and thus 5 keyboards for 5 clients are also fine...
