I agree. Until you get to where you know all the dungeons and are geared up Paladin+4Shaman is best/safest.

All Shaman would be Elemental+Resto and I recommend starting 3 deep Elemental and one deep Resto but rest in Elemental. When things are easy going the Resto focused Shaman can still help and when things are rough the 3 Elemental can help heal if incoming damage is too much.

Once you get fully comfortable and geared you can look to make all 4 deep Elemental and then later go 5 deep Elemental.

Back in the original TBC I was both a 5boxer and a 10boxer and had tried 5 of every class (except Rogues and Warriors) and had a 10box team of all Shaman as well (though I could 5box almost every class I think Shaman were the only class where I could 10box all the same class). I also tried pretty much every possible combination to see what had the best overall and tended to prefer Paladin+4Shaman over 5Shaman even when decently geared just to make things easier. My Paladin was my main and was in Raid tier gear so that could have been factor as well...
