Easy team to box with?

I'm Thinking about messing with a team, but haven't played since 2011. What team would you recommend for easy play to jump on sometimes and do rifts...... 5 dps or 4 dps and healer. Im not looking for an endgame comp, just something with easy ranged dps to mess around with.

This is a good question. I'm sure others can chime in that have more experience than me. I went with one of each class, using ranged builds with little to no rotation. A Rogue Bard is great for the splash heals. If you're just gonna spam rifts all day I dont think you would need a dedicated healer. If you're not planning to do endgame, I guess it shouldn't matter too much on what you choose.

Is there a "cookie cutter" ranged class to box, like 5 ele shaman are in wow? Looking into all the different class options is overwhelming.

Check forums for one button specs. If you're going to play the same on all characters, a small rotation wouldn't be too bad. Every class can play any role, but some roles are behind a pay wall. Mage or Rogue may be what you're looking for under the F2P model. Ele/pyro or marksman

I did cleric tank, 3 rogue dps (huntsman soul I think?), and a chloromancer mage healer.

You could do 4 rogues and a chloromancer if you don't want a tank.

On Defiant I am running Paladin/Void Warrior Tank, 2 Pyro Mages, Chloromancer and Bard for support. My Guardian team swaps the Warrior for a Cleric tank. The Cleric seems to have an easier time with aggro. I have the Pyro Mages set up with an additional Stormcaller role to clear AoE.

Macros in Rift have a fall through mechanism so if you put your longer recast items near the top and an instant cast at the bottom you can get a decent rotation from that.

After reading these posts, I may have my cleric tank since its my weakest dps. Even as inquisitor, it's hard to pull off a decent rotation and still have the others do well. Melee shaman is strong, buts it's hard for me to move him around and look at the target if my tank needs to move.
