Order of the Players in a Group

Heya,

anyone knows the logic the order of your group players is based on?
i.e. why is my priest on fourth position although I've invited him first.

doesn't look like it is based on the time when I invite someone
it's looks more like the character creation date
or the player ID the char got in the character table of WoW ?

anyone got a clue ?
