    Valid points.

    Personally on my 60 Mage I got 2 Frost Resistance rings and got down the SM Cath pull/farm and frankly absolutely hated doing it. I actually fell asleep multiple times and it just felt crappy to me so I stopped watching the AH for Nature Resist rings and didn't even try to learn the other 1pulls as that play-style is just not fun for me...

    I do however very much enjoy multi-boxing and working with complex solutions. I also like to theorycaft and daydream solutions to conundrums (and often have fresh ideas when I wake up). I do that professionally at work (I used to be CIO then was CTO but these days am now more a brain-on-a-stick Systems Architect / Solutions Architect) and like to do it in my hobbies also and think it is in my DNA (my dad and grandpa were the same way).

    In my case I have more than enough hardware and cables already onsite and classes (at least for Paladin+3Locks+Priest/Paladin plus single 60 mage on my 6th account for free 55 water/food/ports/instance-resets already) so there is no additional expense on my end.

    I do agree that 4Hunters+Healer may indeed be the best option overall but would have to level a new team and am not up for that right now.

    I still think I can pull off my MMMMP team using X-Mouse Controls to enable window focus on mouseover in Windows. The main thing that I lose the ability to move characters during encounters while maintaining dps. But TBH I generally would just pull stuff to a corner anyway to AoE it or use positioning to avoid things like knockbacks.

    I'm running the 4 mages on my main PC and my priest on a separate machine, and just use the mousewheel to spam my AoE hotkey as I move it between the windows. And throw out holy nova's as needed from my priest.

    PvP will suck, but I tried to avoid it at all costs anyway before the broadcasting cataclysm.

    EDIT:
    Wrote a short in game macro you can use for a psudo FTL setup for following at least using the FollowMePls addon ( https://www.wowinterface.com/downloa...llowaddon.html ):

    Should work for any size party. I don't >think< follow is protected, so should work in combat.

    /run for i=1,GetNumGroupMembers()-1 do SendChatMessage("!follow","WHISPER","Common",GetUn itName(strjoin("","party",tostring(i)))) end

    The problem isn't whether or not you can multibox using other methods. There have always been multiple ways to do this.

    The problem is that, if Blizzard doesn't want people boxing, it stands to reason that if anyone finds a way to achieve the same result they'll still ban for it.

    I can only base my choices off of the latest information from Blizzard, which is that Multiboxing is fine, but using external software to key broadcast is not.

    Just reporting on what I am trying out in a post about viable group comps in the new meta.

    Hunters + shaman maybe? The totems could buff the auto shot and pets, chain heal would be easy enough to use.

    That may be one of the best teams to try with the 4 quadrant method on 1 pc and a healer on the other pc (or all 5 on the same PC).

    I only did Duoboxing with HKN. I did not get a warning until now, but i stopped using HKN. I made a few new macros and am alt tabbing now.
    My comp is 2h fury and hpriest. I mostly do jumpruns wich gives me around 300g/h.
    But i can do most 5 man dungeons with this comp. Strat baron takes about 80 Minutes.
    I also tried lbrs, strat living, Tribute, and brd. My Warrior has raidgear and my priest only has prebis + Benediction.
    I still have a lot of fun.

    I ran that team... chain heal does bugger all for the most part except rip agro. And my hunters are teir1 with rhokdelar and shaman is full T1 as well.
    I was nearly using mend pet for the first heal, then you can sit back and spam chain heal till you’re oom.
    my Rota was send all pets to a different target. Open with 4xaimed shot on the most dangerous melee mob, wait for an auto shot and then multi shot, then one round of mend pets on all hunters... then sit back on the shaman and chain heal as needed while spaming aimed shot and multi shot on cooldown. You must remember that even auto shot Crits can rip agro off beds in classic. A lot of dungeons I needed to Feign death on my hunter several times to keep mobs outside my dead zone.

    Thanks for sharing.

    For Alliance, considering the aggro issues, do you think Paladin would be the best choice for a Healer with 4 Hunters?

    -Could give the Hunters -30% Threat from Salvation;
    -Could give the Pets Retribution Aura to boost their Threat;
    -Could give pets Kings or Might (whichever helps pets more);
    -Paladins start at -50% Healing Threat relative to other healers;

    Possibly, although as far as I’m aware Paladins have issues with blessing actually working on hunters pets in classic.

    I can also tell you that the most common event in instances was actually my shaman dying not a hunter, maybe the plate armor would help him survive long enough for the pets to take agro back off them... I don’t care to say how long I spent kiting mobs around instance with earthbind totems and rank1 frost bolt with 4 BM hunter pets chewing the ass off what ever was chasing me only to die and then have the 4 hunters kill the boss from 90% with no healer what so ever... just feeding pets to the mobs and ressing them as they died.
