But I think key part you're looking for is isn't vertical alignment of the mechanical switches, but instead that you want a single key press to trigger 5 (or whatever number) of physical switches at one time. If you're already going down the route of 3D printing something, and if you're comfortable with a soldering iron, I'd just put 5 (or whatever number) of circuit boards in a stack - all connected to 1 physical key. 5 sets of keyboard circuity - 5 independent outputs, all connected to a single set of keys. ...
