How are they doing this?

@Nokk - what keypad do you have that is saving its macros to the pad itself? I had sorta though my Razer Tartarus did that, but apparently its only the profile that's stored locally, all the macros are stored in software on the PC (razer central)

I tested something similar with my Logitech G613 Keyboard and G502 Mouse and they work fine when directly connected to the PC but don't work through my KVM (tested on my regular not synchronous KVM).

To not have to deal with that I went with a Koolertron Programmable keyboard which should be hardware based and hopefully will arrive in few days. Link for it is in the hardware section here:

Interested in what Nokk is using and I will add it to the hardware section as well.
