Default perks of MB in SL?

    Hey ya,

I'm a returning boxer from wow classic. Got a few teams up to 60. (WMMLP and 4xWS) Both teams were challenging, fun and rewarding.

I plan on boxing in retail for the first time for the upcoming SL. I was thinking of trying x5 druid and trading heroic gear to my rogue main. But that seems out of my skill level considering classic is mechanically easier than retail. And it will only be useful up until I get min ilvl for heroic que.

Besides herb/mining and my "meh" idea, is there any benefit to MB?

A few of us boxers do M+ which can get you gear close to Mythic raid level tier from the weekly chest. The ones that come to the top of my head that have pushed quite hard content are Multidayz and SerScruffington.

I personally am the same, I box to have fun and challenge myself, how far can I get doing Mythic+? How geared can I get?

I also PvP, mostly World PvP as on my server at least it's quite active, but there is currently a mount called The Hivemind that allows you to multibox BGs, Multidayz also has a few videos on that.

Basically I'd say it comes down to 2 categories:
    A) You want to make loads of gold farming the world drops and selling them or doing whatever else farmers do. (Sorry not too educated here as I don't farm).
    B) You want to solo end game content, which in SL will be M+ and Torghast and maybe some other things I'm unfamiliar with. This is what I've been doing since returning to BFA and even though, in my opinion, BFA is hands down the worst expansion for me (I quit very early on when compared to every other expac), I have been kept entertained for literally months at this point, I think I subbed 4 months ago now? My Druids are ilvl 460 which still isn't that great, but I can feel the power gain from them and it's extremely satisfying to complete those higher M+ keys. But like I said, that's if you're more wanting a challenge from it.

I'll also say for me personally, another aspect is trying to help push boxing forward. By this I mean trying to discover new team comps that are fun, or maybe some new classes that can PvP (I recently found out today that Shadow Priest's Mind Sear ability allows them to face and interact with the target which most casters cannot do).

But yeah, honestly those are the 2 most common categories I see, either farming or pushing higher end game content.

At first, I thought you meant trade heroic raid gear to your Rogue, but then you mentioned "que" [sic], which made me then assume you were referring to heroic dungeon gear. With that said, I will say the following...

Personally, I wouldn't think that jumping through the hoops of choosing a covenant and gearing a team just to do heroic dungeons and funnel that leather gear to your Rogue is going to be all that engaging, and by the time you reach the point where you're able to do that you could've just played the Rogue solo and been grinding heroic dungeons for the gear to begin with. As the expansion plays out, heroic dungeon gear will be pitifully easy to come by as the overall item level ceiling continues to increase with each patch, while heroic dungeon difficulty stays static and its rewards fall to the wayside, other than for maybe a freshly leveled character.

However, if heroic is the highest level of difficulty that you think you can handle, then no one can tell you what you're going to enjoy, but I have a feeling that you'll eventually find heroic dungeons to be quite a pushover, which may then push you into the territory of mythic. Ultimtely, that may also depend on how heroic vs mythic dungeon mechanics end up playing out, though.

Not to sound like I'm vilifying you, but not everything is about taking advantage of a system, and sometimes the "benefit" is just about having the opportunity to play the game differently, on your own schedule, with an added challenge.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

Personally, for me I'll dual box rogue and the sp in SL mainly to do the following:
1-Cut down the time for leveling/questing/rep/usual chores
2-Have fun trying some torghast push as disc/sp paired with my main rogue
3- Being able to do pvp and other stuff in the mean time (2.8xp as rogue) so I can cut down time while enjoying my own stuff (i.e xmog runs etc).
4- Able to farm proffesiosn when able to (herb, enchanting, ) to sustain myself.

Mind you, I did try 5x boxing in BFA but seeing as I am in top 140 EU guild or so I don't need to try hard for gear so no need for 5x boxing even though it might come in handy.
You should try it as see what works for you, in end maybe you'll find it super engaging but as MiRai has mentioned there are plenty of things to do as boxer other then being herb bot.

    P.S
Hyped for TBC and sham turret (might try 5x sl sl lock ) : )

Here here. For most people who have been involved with this "hobby" prior to it becoming the go-to tool for zero effort ways to print gold it's the simple enjoyment of playing the game how you want to play it that is the draw for us. You're not reliant on others to progress. You're not bound to set raid or event times. You are not inconvenienced by others nor do you inconvenience others in the group. There are no loot disputes. No no-shows or drama. You just log in and play when it is convenient to you doing the things you want to. What you can achieve is 100% down to you and the aspect of controlling the full group brings tremendous depth of gameplay and setting up and fine tuning your setup to be able to deal with what the game throws at you becomes it's own enticing meta-game.

First off, thanks for all your content!

I was worried about this impression and you guys are right to vilify me. The question basically flat out asks "how do I get an advantage?" I do understand the playstyle of MB. Otherwise, I never would have started the 2nd team in classic. At the same time, it is not like I can say that I didn't enjoy farming whatever gear or mats I wanted, uncontested.
I am just worried that the effort vs reward is going to fall short comparatively. And the money wouldn't be worth it just to farm nodes. Just looking for more motivation/excitement for raising a team, knowing that raising the team should be the motivation.

I feel like I'm basically at the same spot as you. I'm 2.5exp and in a fairly competitive raiding guild. (hopefully, they aren't sick of me leaving within the first year of every expansion. lol) I just started looking into the content of SL so I didn't even know about torghast lol but it seems like fun content to box.

The big perk for me is getting to play 5 hunters that are foxes, who have 2 foxes as pets and a fox minipet and who ride foxes, and dress like pirates, or other similarly absurd things.
