Account Closure / Suspension - GM Error?

it was nice to finally talk to a GM, he also said in the future if i start a new team on a new server to make a ticket just to let the GMs know that i'm mutliboxing so they can discuss it with me and put me on some kind of list so when they get reports about me they will know what's going on. Just thought i'de pass that along.

So the one GM putting a note on your account DIDN'T help? Maybe the note was the reason they were following you around in an instance? Interesting. Either way, that GM with the BA should be slapped. While GM's are the WoW cops they are also the PR faces we see in game.... one bad GM experience can color your feeling towards the game. I hope they investigate the entire incident and delve into the chat logs and review exactly what was said by all parties involved and then take appropriate actions against said GM if his demeanor was as you stated.

I'm sure that is why they were following me, and as far as the feeling bad twords wow, i was so pissed, i was done with wow, and i've played since day 1...I still get a little pissed thinking about it even though my accounts are good to go now.

Perhaps the insta-ban was intended to keep a screencap of your conversation he wasn't sure had the right in, from turning up all over the net. hehe. (btw, i tried to pause keyclone before i typed this... WoW is not currently running.)

When you get banned, it's insta-ban. They don't wait for you to gather your things, hearth, dismount, nothing... BAN-HAMMER !!!

Glad you got it back and an apology... my fur would still be ruffled pretty badly if this happened to me also.

Are you on US or EU realms?

Because if you're on a US realm, I feel fairly confident that Mimic and Prototype are not actual GM names, since I can find those characters (50+ for both) in the Armory - which should imply they aren't real GMs. Did they have the nifty new Blizzard logo by their names or regular <GM> tags?

Also, according to the Penalty Volcano (http://us.blizzard.com/support/artic...rticleId=20221) I don't see 30-day bans as a possible punishment and in all my days of reading the Cust Serv forums, I've never heard of one being handed out.

Yeah, I didn't want to be the first to poo-poo this post, but it just seemed a little too like "ohhhh look at me!". Seemed fake. No offense.

It might be true about the 30 day ban not being there... but then again, the GMs could've said it not knowing... seeing how knowledgeable they were in the first place.

A normal toon wouldn't be able to disconnect you... and I'm sure that when he tried to log back in, got the message that the account has been closed or something similar to that.
