    I think it somewhat depends... If you initiate and can get your group into AoE range of another group (but not too large a group in TBC due to AoE caps) then it is hard to argue with AoE of Mages.

    If you are doing more "king of the hill" or guarding a pass in AV I prefer Shaman with Tremor Totems and Chain Lightning and Chain Healing and Ahnks and self rezes... A mage team will be whittled down and have to regroup but a Shaman team can reconstitute without spirit walking if only 1 is left (actually if none is left due to Ahnks)... Several times my 10 Shaman were down to 1-2 in AV when pushing back an enemy push and I was able to reconstitute before they could and it was a great experience!

    Also to me few things are more satisfying than seeing lightning chain through the enemy (makes you feel like the Emperor in Return of the Jedi ;-) ).

    with 10 you'll one-shot with any class, so it becomes more about defense and utility. Shamans have stacking totems for everything. It's not even close, 10 shaman for sure. The only other comp that could compete with 10 shaman would be 10 shockadin, but i think the shaman would be the last team standing. Resto/Blance druids could also do well, possibly winning by attrition, they have good dots.

    The burst is insanity from close to range, buff galore!

    wings = blow up melee
    chain = blow up range

    mail +plate with optional shields = strong passive armor and all 10 heal with flash or lessor, with optional bubbles

    Paladin Team: Holyalpha, Holybravo, Holycharlie, Holydelta, Holyecho

    Multiboxers should also consider Hunters, they are the highest DPS for quite a bit of TBC and also require 1 button to do dps. Unless they make changes, steady shot, steady shot, steady shot.

    10 Night Elf Hunters with 10 prowling cats could pretty much stay stealthed while their cats unstealth and kill just about anything. Fun to setup ambushes at frequently passed paths or choke-points. I guess Night Elf Priests and Druids can do similar stealth ambushes from range but both classes will have to unstealth to DoT up unfortunate passer-bys... Hunters that don't unstealth don't have to reposition as frequently and druids can stealth prowl in cat form to different positions between ambushes but Priests are the hardest as it is easier to monitor their positions when they re-hide.

    I don't normally do that sort of thing but there was a pass that 2 rogues killed me at so I came back with 10 druids and just camped the shit out them... They were notrious for that area so I also setup some Hunter ambushes and when they ambushed someone my 10 cats came out and mauled them to death... I did enjoy that quite a bit..

    I don't remember if that is the case or not but then again earning honor points was not my goal when giving payback to folk who ambushed me... That and the fun of ambushing is there whether you get points or not...

    Regardless don't the current PVP Rankings/Titles go away in TBC and doesn't the shift move even more away from open world and increase the focus to battlegrounds and arenas?

    not like it matters in world pvp but I'd go 8 shaman 2 pally instead of 10 shaman, concentration aura is just too good for that

    regrading honor farm, in world pvp your best shot is in front of karazhan followed by ssc entrance, those places will always be crowded and no flightmounts

    I remember haala being unpopular, even in early stages as its crap rewards, so yeah you just gotta farm the pve groups at summon stones
