Well the only place to get the multiplexers really is Vetra.com They also have the 8 port KVM's which are fairly quick switching from what I hear. I just don't see a point in an 8 port KVM when you can use a program like Octopus and just move the mouse to the screen that you want to type. That way I have a 2 port KVM that cost me $40. It either switches to one screen or all screens. If it's in the one screen mode, I just move the mouse to the screen I want to type to and start typing. I guess if you don't like mouse sharing, but I think that's one of the cooler things about these setups. I love essentially having one huge computer screen that I can move my mouse anywhere on.Originally Posted by 'Basilikos',index.php?page=Thread&postID=54204#pos t54204
I do see the use for the multicaster, as that's one of the key elements in my setup, but fail to really see a need for that many ports on a KVM.
