This is really good Dutchoven! It also popped a lightbulb of ideas as well.

Couple items. I'm not the best on Resto Druid rotation but from the video it looks like using that many Rejuvs will run us OOM quickly. The good news is they are used efficiently. If the team is full of Druids this is less of an issue since Boomkin can also Innervate.

Does this allow for a DPS rotation within it?
The biggest concern I had when making a rotation was "blocking" spells and I think you fixed that partially.

So the idea is say Party 2 needs a medium heal, you select that target and it does a rejuv / lifebloom/ regrowth, and then it is blocked by a nil. Is the reset =2 coming from isboxer or ingame.
Can we make castsequences in Isboxer that reset outside of game or is this considered not allowed?
The goal is to be able to spam that castsequence to heal party 2 without overdoing it and then be able to recast that same chunk of heals later on if needed.

    Great work though, loving it.

So you want to create a click-based spot heal routine?

In this post I will cover how to create your own heal routine that aligns with your dps and can be used to spot heal party members that get low in a pinch.

    Step 1: Create your ATGs

Create the following ATGs for this routine:
    - Main Healer
    - This ATG is a ‘role’ ATG that is called when changing healer routines.
    - Spot Heal
    - This ATG is for the Spot Heal routine.
    - Healer dps
    - This ATG is for the Healer dps routine.

Step 2: Create your Healing Key Map

The important mapped keys to follow for this routine are Heal Rotation and Spot Heal.

    Heal Rotation:

The purpose of this mapped key is to have the same keybind as your dps rotation. As you press this key, it calls any character in a ‘routine’ action target group to ‘do’ a mapped key in Virtual Healing Key Map (covered later).

    Spot Heal:

The purpose of this mapped key is to say “Hey, anyone in ATG Main Healer, focus slot 1 and join the ATG Spot Heal, and make sure you leave any other routine ATGs!!”

It also has the following actions:
    - Alter your click bar to say ‘spot heal’ on slot 1
    - Focus slot 1
    - Change your Spot Heal druid routine to step 1 (covered later)

Step 3: Your Virtualized Key Maps

The Heal Rotation mapped key calls those in the Spot Heal ATG to ‘do’ Spot Heal in Virtual Healing. As shown above, in this key map the mapped key Spot Heal is empty. Why? Well by doing this we can instead use Virtualized key maps to have this as our ‘branch’ for individual character routines. As such, you can see that my resto druid has virtualized Virtual Healing as a different key map ‘Druid - Restoration Key Map’.

Step 4: Create your specific spot heal routine for your character

Now we are within the Druid - Restoration Key Map, looking at a mapped key called Spot Heal. It must be named the same as it is in the Virtual Healing key map!

This step specifically tries to cast three spells for 5s before moving to the next step, in my case and in order:
    -Swiftmend
    - Rejuvenation in a castsequence reset=2/target Rejuvenation, nil
    - Regrowth

This step says “Hey, you’ve had 5s to spot heal the target, now do Heal Clearfocus back in the Healing key map!”
The Heal Clearfocus mapped key is functionally similar to the Spot Heal key map, however it changes our ATGs OUT of Spot Heal and INTO the Healer DPS routine. The purpose of this is so that we don’t stay in Spot Heal forever, and it is temporary! This explains why back in our Healing Key map when ‘Spot Heal’ is actioned, it resets THIS mapped key to step 1. By doing this, you can functionally spot heal different party members in sequence and each time they will get 5s of dedicated spot healing!

I refer to this step as a ‘buffer’. It exists only to delay actions from occurring in the event that you stop hitting your routine key before the 5s of healing is complete, and thus you don’t move to step 2, that it can reset after 5s and not cause any clipping issues.

Step 5: How do I activate Spot Heal in the Healing Key Map?

Now that our spot heal routine is set up, let’s learn how to ‘call’ it while we’re doing our normal dps/healing routine.

In this example, I use a Click Bar over my hp bars called ‘Healer Focus’.

    cont next post.

It is set up to have one ‘button’ per character and have a default state of ‘no routine’ in text. We have set up an action on the bottom right that upon an alt right click will ‘do’ Spot Heal in Healing key map! This will cause the chain of events that we created earlier that will result in our healer casting our spot heal routine on slot 1 and then reverting to their dps routine!.

And it’s as simple as that. Below I’ve attached a video of this sequence in brief. Please feel free to point out any areas that could be improved or if you decide to implement this, how it went for you!

    Hey Brax,

While the principles of the overall profile take heavy inspiration from Scruff's profile, it is quite clearly literally my own Spot Heal routine that I created for the purposes of this post.

I appreciate your concern though, even going so far as to create an account to voice it! And as such I have amended my post to show my appreciation for Scruff's work.

However, I do hope you find your own inspiration to look past your grievance and realize that there was no malicious intent in my hopes to improve our collective ability to utilize resto druid in SL

I've not looked at Sirscruffington's profile, but assuming he had, let's keep a few things in mind:
1.) Having an Isboxer profile does not make you proficient at using it in game and it certainly doesn't allow you to understand how it works under the hood.
2.) I don't believe Dutch copy pasta'd the entire explanation.

So even in the event Dutch had plagiarized the profile, his value add was playing with it, and providing detailed explanations around the how/why.

Great guide, Dutch. I love playing resto druid and hate boxing classes/specs I play solo, so I'm going to steer clear from playing something that would only frustrate the hell out of me. What I will say is this clearly took a lot of time/effort/motivation to get this far, and I appreciate you sharing your insights.

Thanks, I'll just delete my post then, the intent was not to launch a conversation or to hunt anyone but man, I know that man has been working hard on his profile and shared it with all of us, he deserved a little word.

I've done the same thing you've done, I used his profile and personalised it to some extent for countless hours.

And no, it is not a created account for the occasion, I just never participated on this forum so far.

This is an awesome setup, especially with Swiftmend requiring a HOT for consumption in Shadowlands so you will always be able to deal with 'O Shit' moments and throw that swiftmend on the target without having to get a HOT rolling first in which case you might as well cast a regrowth.

I generally run druid healer in my comps and I got a setup similar where I swap between healing rotations and DPS but never got the HOT rolling working across the team so I ended up doing that manually so I will see if I can get your setup working once the pre-patch rolls in.

With the current healing ranking that is going on in Beta and Druid still being nr 1 pick for M+ this setup is going to be sweet!

Did you disable the video? I tried watching it but it does not seem to load anymore.
