Anyone else have this issue with Spirit Mend causing the pet to disengage?

Aside from Spirit Mend the other thing pretty compelling about Spirit Beasts was the Spirit Shock removing 1 Magic Effect and 1 Rage each time (upto every 3.33 seconds if all 3 pets are doing on rotating 10 second cooldown).

Is there a different pet Dispel are you referring to?

Spirit Shock is gone now. It is replaced with Spirit Pulse which cannot be auto-cast. It removes 1 Magic/Disease/Poison/Curse from itself. Hunters now get Tranq shot so overall it seems like a lose/lose for us.

All my Hunter macros have /petattack (though wondering if this should be assist) and /cast Claw /cast Rake /cast Bite in them. Again not sure if this is causing me a DPS loss. Which Ferocity pet are you using? I might get some to do some testing.

How are you doing barbed shot?

    I tried a

    /castsequence reset=6 Barbed Shot,

My dear hunters seem to just shoot all of my barbed shots and then go to the next cooldown. Any idea how to do that better?

Not sure how to visually show this without a picture. Anything with a / is a Castsequence, everything else a simple Named WoW Macro that looks like this:

    /petattack
    /cast Spellname
    /cast Bite
    /cast Claw
    /cast Swipe

The stuff higher in the list seems to take priority, ie when the mob hits the right health % they seem to dump mostly killshots.

I'm not 100% happy with it though I need to optimise it and would greatly appreciate seeing other peoples. My Kill Command also has a Call Pet 1/Revive if dead in it incase for some reason one hunter is missing a pet and I forget or don't notice.

My Spirit Mend Misdirect / Tranq Shot and Mend / Revie Pet if dead Macros that rotate ever 10s between all three hunters it will not move on for 10s but lets the keypresses be spammed. So far I have 100% uptime on Spirit Mend and have a Misdirect up 8 out of 10s.

How are others doing this, especially those running Mythics/Dungeons? So far my biggest problems seem DPS relate and aggro related. My pets just murder everything on the screen but in a dungeon will pull lots of things I don't want.

They definitely shouldn't be targeting things you weren't going for. I had that issue originally with GSE macros. A lot of them stick a /targetenemy at the top or similar.
I haven't touched the hunter team yet, hoping to this weekend and will follow up.

    Hi Slats,

how is your castsequence makro structured? /castsequence kill command, barbed shot or something more sophisticated? Do you not have the problem with spamming barbed shot?

    @Ellay:

Did Spirit Mend not get removed?

Spirit mend is still there. They just lowered the healing power of it (which was a bit crazy). It's still a great utility heal even if it does 2/3 less healing.

Woah, 2/3rds less? That's a significant nerf..... So, making it up, if it did 30k heals before now it does 10k?

"EDIT" - Though I guess my question is, is it only nerfed in amount of heal? Since our Health is obviously massively lower at lvl 50 than it was 120..... What say you?

Another question: How does your are macro look? Mine is pop every cooldown and then multishot, but the damage of that is bad.

This is why I'd love to see others macro's. Mine is simply a GSE Macro converted to ISBoxer. I know for a fact I'm not weaving Barbed Shot correctly, my Hunters just dump it all out at the start. Once they get going though they seem to pull of pretty reasonable DPS.

I assume you mean AoE Barazanthul? I use one key as my ST DPS macro. Another does AoE. All this does on my Hunters is simply weave in a multi-shot when I press it. My Pally simply does the same rotation as her ST one and my Shaman gives priority to FS/Lava Burst and weaves in Chain Lightning instead of Lightning Bolt.

I think my Hunters try and destroy everything on screen because as I mash my DPS key if my Paladin can 'see' targets in her field of view and I hit any ability that needs a target she targets it and this gets passed to my team with auto-assist. I simply have to be very careful about stopping DPS as the last mob is dying, again this is not great and I'm not sure how to fix this. Would Sticky Target in options help?

The better solution and safer one is probably stripping out IWT ->Melee and Auto-Assist to another separate button.
