Default 3 boxing coming up, hopefully.

    Alright, here's the deal.

I started dualboxing for fun, but I want to extend it to 3boxing.

What I have now is a Samsung 20" widescreen monitor, and I'll be getting 2 more of those soonish. I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding construction, but in wood mainly, so this is what I will be building the mounts in. I have a rather solid machine, Dual core2 E6600 processor, GF 8800gtx, 2gb ddr etc. So now my question is, can I connect 3 monitors to my computer and how? And, to take the hardware road of controlling my 3 precious, what sort of hardware would I need besides 2 X-key pro's, which I am planning on getting as well?

I know this has been all over the forums, but quite frankly, the info is very spread out, so even though I have looked around and tried to compile a list of what I will be needing, I simply haven't been able to.

Therefore I am hoping for a helping hand from you wise lot.

Any tips, hints and suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure but I think you need 2nd video card to be able to connect more monitors then 2.

I really think you will not get the framerates you are looking for to run 3 WoWs with 1 computer and 2 video cards.

hmm i am running two wows sometimes on my comp with one video card and two monitors.

but as xzin says. you will not get perfect frame rate.
and it seems like your computer is betther than mine.

you can try to get a video card with two monitor inputs. and a second video card for the last monitor.

that is just my guess ofc.
since i am not that into computers.

You CAN connect 3 monitors without losing much FPS. This topic has been discussed already.

Just set all 3 monitors to function as one in a horizontal span and you will maintain 35+ FPS (which is more than necessary) even in Shattrath or 25 man raid setup - even at max settings. Make sure to set the resolution to fit each monitor.

You can connect 2 of your monitors into your GTX and connect the 3rd into your motherboard directly (if the mobo has a video port). Otherwise, you might want to split one of your ports in the GTX (though I haven't tried this - I might tonight) to connect 3 monitors into one card.

This is what I want to try. I believe I have sufficient ressources to pull it off, but I have a few questions as to how to actually make it happen, physically. Can I buy some sort of splitter for the screen cord?

mhm... but you will get the same image on both schreens...
    thats the problem.
since the computer will think that you only got two monitors you know.
    i guess so.
    here you go.
