    Default Multibox Friendly Instances

Well I am slowly going through instances and not all are ok to do with my setup. I use a pally/druid tank, 3 shaman, and a mage. We need to post which instances are multibox friendly.

    So far the ones I am able to do are;

    Steamvaults,
    Sethekk Halls
    Old Hillsbrad
    Mana Tombs
    Slave Pens
    Underbog
    Ramparts
    Blood Furnace

Note these were done without a full DPS 5 shaman group. A full dps group should be able to do more than a tank + dps healer group.

The Instances I cannot do at the moment are:
    Crypts
    Mechanar

I still have several instances to try but so far those two are impossible to multibox. The mechanics are just too much of a PITA for my tank + dps healer group.

Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”

Why would a full DPS group have an easier time then a tank/dps/healer group? Sure, you'll burn mobs down faster... but from what I've seen the shaman 5-box squads that destroy NPC's have to be pretty decked out w/ PvP gear (At least on heroics) due to how hard the mobs hit. I've cleared all non-heroics and several heroics w/ my DPS/Healer/tank team.

If a DPS group is overgeared for an instance it will dominate it with the exception of bosses. Bosses can be dominated by certain DPS classes pretty easily (Shammy teams, warlock teams) due to the fact that they can put out fake tanks to buy enough time to burn the boss down.

    Botanica is cake.
    Say what?

I've only tried Bot once so far.
    1st boss (Commander) - trivial

2nd boss (High Botanist) - I tried several strats, LoS was easiest for my group as long as I focus on killing the little flowers so the tank doesn't get frozen. LoS behind the edge of the bridge, AoE the 3 trees down and back to dps. If you don't burn the boss or the trees down quick enough you run into mana problems pretty quickly.

3rd boss (Thorngrin) - I got owned so badly and so quickly I decided to go do something else. Still working on a strat.

2nd boss - When he goes into healing mode - just ignore him, burn down the adds. They're healing him.
Doesn't work for me at all. The trees don't heal him, he heals himself and the trees while he is in healing mode which is why Line of Sighting the trees is part of the strategy to get them out of healing range. Once they are inside melee range of the group I can AoE them down quick with Hellfire, Arcane Explosion, Holy Nova and Consecration.

If I try to just dps the trees when he goes into healing mode I run into targeting problems with the way my targeting is setup to deal with the little flowers. Instead of having to deal with targeting problems I found it much easier to just PBAoE the trees down where targeting is not an issue.

3rd Boss - Spread out your dps. Far ends of the room, in range from the get go. Far enough that his AoE will only hit one of your guys at a time. When he teleports a toon into the "hurt locker" - be read to heal and move that toon out manually (you don't have too, but it helps). Just MAX OUT DPS. Use pots if you have too.
I'll give it another go soon. I wasn't prepared for how chaotic and fast paced the fight would be and after having struggled with the 2nd boss for a while I was kind of fed up at this point.

4th Boss - Unless you're super squishy, ignore the adds and just go MAX DPS on the boss. He'llgo down quick.

5th Boss (final). Spread out like 3rd boss. Extreme ends of room, setup in range. Just go max DPS. He'll drop.
I'll get to those next time.

I can't view your armory link - what classes are you running again?
    Pally, Priest, Mage, Warlock, Hunter.

i do mechanar quite regulary im trying to get the totem from the cache but its not proving easy to get. I havnt had a problem at all yet, moonkin can tank the gatekeepers without an issue and it can tank those mobs with the electrical powerup that if its not interrupted it owns you, barskin and get the shamans to heal through them.

The 3rd go i did mechanar, i managed to clear the gauntlet and calcuator without a single death. I am yet to kill the second boss, i prefer not to wipe and keep my repair costs to myself rather than try and get lucky and kill her:P. I thought that and steamvaults where really pretty easy going. Steamvaults is a walkthrough that place is soo easy its not funny. The first few packs you need to be careful but other than that its really cake.

I'd love to get a list of the instances that 5x Shaman groups have done so that we could put it on the Wiki. We've had so many of these "no tank" groups, that we should have a compilated list. I know that at least of 1 shaman group that completely skips the bosses in Shadow Labs because he couldn't beat them... could anyone list the Outlands instances that you've completed with 5 shamans? Boom, Ellay?

Trick for the 2nd boss in botanica (which makes it possible for only the having tank to move) tank the boss on the highest point of the bridge, and set your dpsers just in range to nuke the boss. When he goes heal crapping you can just move your tank back and let your dps take care of his adds since they are not in his aoe heal spot you can just leave them there the entire fight. Been using this in pugs since i turned 70, still amazed ppl still LoS those adds, they dont hit that hard and die very very fast.

The reason people LOS them is because they spam ranged attacks and they want the adds out of the bossheal's aoe so they CAN burn them down. Breaking LoS stops their casting and forces them to chase/leave the AoE range

For the second boss, tank him on the bridge and get ready to strafe your shammies left behind a pillar when he uses tranquility. This forces the adds to run around next to you, where they are out of LoS of his tranquility. That makes it much easier to kill them. You should kill him before he does it a second time.

The third boss doesn't require any complicated positioning or healing; the sacrifice doesn't do enough damage to actually kill someone, and you will probably kill him before he does a second one. All you have to do is make sure where you park your shammies, and the sacrifice altar, are both out of range of the AoE he does periodically.

The last boss is the same: as long as you position your shammies out of range of his aoe stomp (30 yards), you can ignore the trees and just burn him down with very little need to heal. The first round of trees will heal him, but you should be able to kill him before the second.

I did this last weekend on heroic without being too overgeared (my shammies are still barely above +600 spelldam); it's all about tanking at the correct range.

Hmm i realised that guy does fire dmg, so my fire elementals wouldnt get any damage. First try, popped the elementals, they kept agro, i just nuked him, he sacrificed one of the toons just before he went down, well that was easilly healed up with prot healing :P, up to this boss botanica is very very trivial :P
