Default 4 cores instead of 2 per client

Is there anyone here that owns a threadripper and has tested if there was any advantage to assigning 4 cores per client over the recommended 2 cores per client? Or was the experience basically the same as if you were playing with 2 cores per client?

You can run this test yourself by simply opening a single game client, restricting it to only two cores, and then noting how it plays in a busy area with the in-game settings that you typically use (or want to upgrade for). Then, change the core assignment to four cores and note whether performance goes up or not.

Assuming we're discussing World of Warcraft, though, the game can use more then 2 cores.
