    Default 4Mage1Priest Best farming Spots?

I'm new to the forums, Not new to Multi Boxing.

I'm trying to find the best bang for my buck, time wise. Whats the best 5 man dungeon right now to farm. I either mass Aoe BRD/LBRS or Orb farming, but orbs have dropped so much in price? there only about 22 gold right now on Herod so it seems to be a waste of time. DME jump runs?

I have not seen any benefits to gold farming while multiboxing, a solo frost mage farms gold as fast as a group of 5.

I have been enjoying boxing dungeons and disenchanting boss loot, that is better with a full team. Its not the meta and not much gold per hour but its fun at least.

DM:E seems to only be going up in value (herbs and crystals mainly) while Orbs are going down.

There is also felcloth. While the single player jump runs focus on doing 5 instances per hour and only killing 2-3 bosses, with a team you can go in the back door (Lariss Pavilion) and burn through all demons while ignoring plants as best you can. I've been getting 8-10 felcloth per run which is 25g-35g on my server, or make mooncloth if you have tailors. After you are done of course you will be far away from the Pavilion, so then just do a few normal jump runs but killing demon packs too. I set my hearth to Gadget so I can take the backdoor every hour, and bank and repair easily.

I'm only three boxing, so I'm a little more limited, but I have had great luck farming Dark Runes in Scholo. Just do the trash up to the plagued hatchlings and reset. Takes me about 15-20 mins, so I don't run into the instance timer.

    Is this really the case?

Currently, I have a WRMLP team at 60 that is pretty geared (warrior and priest in BWL gear, the rest in MC bis). I can do DMT and DME runs with little effort but Strat Live is a real pain given my limited CC and limited AOE. I am leveling a MMMMP team in order to do brainless Gorshak runs and spin the Edgemaster's roulette wheel but now that has been nerfed.

I am trying to gauge whether it is worth getting the MMMMP team to 60 or not (currently 44). Given that I have a mage in MC BIS, is it just better to learn the ZG and Mara farms than to do anything with a MMMMP team? Or just do DME runs nonstop?

I don't agree with JohnGarbiel statement.
There is not one answer to this question.
It depens on many factors: server size, pvp/pve server, ah prices, farm session duration, suply / demand for boosts,...

If you want only gold, leveling and gearing a 2nd team to lev60 is never better then farming with your first team or only with your mage.
But if you like and have fun with leveling, gearing and want to have some diversity I recommend to level your 2nd team to 60.

Learning to solo farm / boost with your mage will take some time. You have to calculate into your total farm time. If you want to make more teams by boosting yourself it's recommended to learn some boosting locations.

I like DME and gold income is also very good for me (depending on ah prices (herbs, enchanting mats, felcloth, arcane crystal) on your server).
Sometimes there are long streaks without an arcane crystal drop and can be frustrating, but in the long run you reach the 3% droprate.
    Mainteam - Level 60
    Warrior / Mage / Mage / Warlock / Shaman

    2nd Team - Level 25
    Druid / Rogue / Rogue / Rogue / Druid

    3rd Team - Level 16
    Shaman / Hunter / Hunter / Hunter / Hunter

I suspect the most gold per hour out there in Classic is single Mage boosting via single pulls of Mara and/or ZG with key loot on reserve. Edit: I don't know that you can consistently get the boosting portion of the income on demand whenever you want but even without it those fast clears net a lot of gold.

Single mage farming compared to well designed team farming are different play-styles and some folk may prefer one style more than the other for various reasons.

Personally I think a well designed Tank+3Mage+Healer team leads to the most relaxing brute force clearing for trash and is good for bosses and like it more/better than kiting mobs through blizzards (and typically avoiding bosses who are immune to slowing effects). 4MP is also not a kiting play-style but I don't like the fragility of the DPSers with no Tank. Besides not liking Kiting I also just like the tinkering with team mechanics and trying to optimize commands through a tool like ISboxer.

That being said all of those approaches are viable and able to give ample gold to the player. None are more "right" than the other as it depends on your goals and preferences.

Seems like last week or so since the Black Lotus nerf has really spiked prices in other herbs. Maybe its just a lot more gold flowing around the economy instead of sitting on alts collecting dust, or maybe lots more people are making flasks now? Arcane Crystals are now 2x the prices of Black Lotus on my server and I don't think we've hit the bottom on Black Lotus yet.

It does seem like serious raiders are in a bit of a lul waiting for AQ, so people are leveling & gearing alts. ZG BOE's are generally dropping in prices but still in demand, Zulian Hacker with a good roll is well over 1k now and climbing. All around individual BiS BoE's (Edgemasters, Cloudkeeper) are still climbing quickly, over 4k on my server now.

I do see a lot more demand for boosting services, and the prices/boost are going up. The mages who are really good at ZG and Mara solos are getting 20g/person/11-min clear. That'd be 400g/hour just from the boostee's. I can't touch that g/hour on a MB team. But I also don't really know how well they're able to repeatedly do those boosts. Seems like getting 4 others to join and to the instance start at the same time may be a full-time job in itself.

I think the benefit of MB farming any of the high end dungeons is just the convenience of starting/stopping whenever you want. Everyone likes to talk about their g/hour (or exp/hour when leveling), but they generally start the clock at the beginning of the instance with the groups already in place. Not that we don't have travel time when MBing, but we don't loose any time trying to form the group or figuring out what to do.

I'm still happily farming LBRS. The raw gold and vendor trash is decent, the runecloth is great and I haven't hit any big ticket items yet, but the number of 5-25g blues I'm getting is great. Maybe 150g/hour on average? (and I'm still farming for own team's gear upgrades at the same time)
